World Cup pick today: South Korea vs Brazil – Over 2.5 goals (-140), 2:00 pm ET
South Korea’s 2-1 win over a Portugal team that had made a few changes but still featured Cristiano Ronaldo was a huge upset but the Koreans have had a mixed World Cup so far. Few fancied them to get the better of Portugal and it is worth remembering that they also allowed 3 goals in a loss to Ghana.
That is not a good omen against one of the best offensive teams in the tournament and while it took time for Brazil to break through against both Serbia and Switzerland, the South Americans are likely to be more positive this time. Brazil had scored at least twice in 7 of 8 games before the 1-0 win over the Swiss, so it looks likely that there will be at least 3 goals in this matchup.

NHL pick today: Colorado Avalanche vs Philadelphia Flyers – Under 6 goals (-115), 7:07 pm ET
The under has been rolling for both the Avalanche and the Flyers lately. For the Flyers, the low totals have been more a product of a lack of goalscoring. Their 2.36 goals per game is ranked last in the NHL, as is their power play. Since November 1st, the Flyers have scored 2 or fewer goals in 13 of 17 games. In their last 8 games, the Flyers have scored a total of 13 goals for an average of 1.63 goals per game.
The total has gone under for Colorado more often recently due mostly to limiting damage. Their 2.77 goals allowed per game ranks 8th in the NHL, and is the primary driver behind their lower totals. The under has also hit in 7 of Colorado’s last 10 games, and in 8 of their last 11 games on the road. The combined over/under record in the Avalanche and Flyers’ respective last 10 games is 6-13-1. For that reason, backing the under tonight will be the play.

NBA pick today: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Atlanta Hawks – Over 236 points (-110), 7:40 pm ET
Usually when the Thunder pull off wins they score in bunches – in their last 3 triumphs they had 135 against Minnesota, 119 against San Antonio and 123 against Chicago. They’ve gone over the total 15 times in 23 games played, including a 7-5 O/U record in road games.
Atlanta has also leaned towards the over, having cashed that bet 13 times in 23 games. Their last 9 games against Northwest Division teams have all gone over as well. Head-to-head meetings are 9-1 on the O/U, therefore backing the over tonight looks to be the best option.

NFL pick today: New Orleans Saints +3 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-105), 8:15 pm ET
I know everyone will discuss Andy Dalton’s record in primetime (6-20 SU and 9-17 ATS), but Tom Brady is not any better. In fact, he is just 2-14 ATS in his last 16 primetime games. I also like backing teams following a shutout loss. These teams come in the next week with extra motivation and they are 26-11-3 ATS (70%) dating back to 2015. For that reason, backing the Saints to cover will be the play.
