This is our first YRFI pick of the year. This game has a total of 10 runs and for good reason. Patrick Corbin is someone who we have faded many times in the past and I believe Osvaldo Bido could start to struggle soon. Bido has an xERA of 4.46 and an actual ERA of 2.61. This would imply that he has some serious regression coming his way. The top of this Rangers lineup is deadly with Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, Josh Smith and Adolis Garcia.
On the flip side, we have Rangers pitcher Corbin, who is historically a 5+ ERA guy and he’s going against some A’s bats that are sneaky good. Lawrence Butler, Tyler Soderstrom, Brent Rooker and Shea Langeliers are some nice pieces and this isn’t the laughing stock that the A’s used to be. With the wind blowing out with nice weather and these 2 pitchers on the mound, I think we will see at least 1 of these teams strike in the opening inning.
