We have a beautiful pitching matchup here in Red Sox vs Blue Jays between Garrett Crochet and Bowden Francis. Crochet has already faced Toronto and had a scoreless first 5 innings against them before running into some trouble in the 6th. In that 2nd inning though, he had a quick and easy 1-2-3 inning. I expect him to continue his elite pitching and dominate these Blue Jays.
On the flip side, we have Bowden Francis, and he has been sneaky good so far this season. Boston bats are 3-29 against him lifetime, which is barely over a .100 average. He has been looking phenomenal this year and I think he should quiet these hot Red Sox bats. We need a scoreless 2nd inning and these teams not to combine for 7+ runs in the first 5 innings, and I can’t see us running into much trouble.
