Twins vs Indians Under 9.5 (+100)
Nelson Cruz to hit Homerun (+210)
Logan Allen over 3.5 strikeouts (-112)
Parlay odds: +2277
Minnesota Twins ML (-120)
The Twins are struggling big time losers of their last four but they can’t just lose forever. They get Logan Allen today which is the definition of slump buster. He’s been shelled in each of his last two starts and the Buxton, Donaldson, Cruz first three should give him trouble. All three have a higher than .436 WOBA against lefties which is more trouble for Allen. Look for the Twins to hang at least six runs on the board today.
Twins vs Indians Under 9.5 (+100)
While the Twins might slaughter the Indians today, JA Happ is in line to have a great start. Righties are sporting a minimal .259 WOBA on the season against him and the Indians lineup is full of nothing to worry about righties today. Even if the Twins score six runs, it’s hard to imagine the Indians holding up their end of the bargain. The value of the total is also gone since it’s been bet up a run from the open. Take the under.
Nelson Cruz to hit Homerun (+210)
It’s crazy to bet a guy to hit a homer at such short odds but this one is worth a shot. Cruz may be 40 but he has 7 home runs in only 70 at bats on the season. He gets a guy in Logan Allen who is coming off of a game where he gave up three dingers in only 2.1 innings pitched to the Yankees. If he hangs one today to Cruz, it will get hit a mile. There is only an 11 mph wind blowing in holding balls in the park. That won’t be enough.
Logan Allen over 3.5 strikeouts (-112)
If Allen can pitch into the fourth, there is a good chance he will strikeout at least four batters. It hasn’t happened in the last two games but the Twins could be a different story. They have multiple batters in the lineup today that have an above 25% strikeout rate which is nice. No team in MLB has struck out more in day games than Minnesota. They have played a few more but their strikeout rate is still higher in the day. Allen could easily get shelled today and still strike out four Twins.
