Philadelphia Phillies ML over Atlanta Braves (-108)

To start it off, I’m going with the Philadelphia Phillies on the money line in this crucial NL East showdown at Truist Park. While the Phillies did lose on Tuesday to kick off this series, the value lies with Philadelphia considering their recent run of form. Prior to that defeat, the Phillies bats had woken up after an extended slump, averaging over 6 runs per game in their previous 5 contests. The Phillies are going with Aaron Nola on the mound, who is coming off an excellent outing against the Nationals where he fired 6.2 scoreless innings. Conversely, Braves starter Max Fried has struggled in recent outings, allowing 12 earned runs over his last 13 innings pitched. The Phillies have historically hit Fried well in the regular season and playoffs, so the short road underdog has excellent value in this NL East tilt.

Milwaukee Brewers ML over St. Louis Cardinals (-102)

For the second leg of this parlay, I’m going with the Milwaukee Brewers on the money line. The Brewers scored a 3-2 victory in the series opener on Tuesday as slight underdogs, and we’re going back to the well on Wednesday in this NL Central matchup. The first-place Brewers have not only won 6 straight games, but they’ve also cashed as an underdog in 4 of those 6 victories as well. Tobias Myers gets the ball on Wednesday, and Milwaukee is 9-3 over his past 12 starts. The right-hander faced the Cardinals on May 9, with the Brewers coming away with a 7-1 win as underdogs, and the result should be similar this time around.

It helps that St. Louis has dropped 7 of their past 8 games and has fallen well off the pace in the NL Central. The offense has dropped off a cliff, scoring 2 or fewer runs in 5 of the past 7 outings, while Kyle Gibson has been extremely inconsistent over his last 10 starts. Let’s back the Brew Crew to come through for us once again.

Cleveland Guardians vs New York Yankees Over 8 (-118)

To close out this MLB parlay, I’m going with the over between the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees. We were treated to a wild extra-inning contest on Tuesday, and I think the lingering effects of that game will be felt in this one. That game featured 6 Cleveland relievers, including 2 innings from Emmanuel Clase, and 8 relievers for the Yankees, meaning that there should be plenty of tired arms in these bullpens.

In addition to the burned bullpens and overdue bats, it’s difficult to trust either starting pitcher in this one. Nestor Cortes gets the ball for the Yankees, and he’s surrendered 24 runs in his 5 starts prior to blanking the White Sox in his last outing. On the other side, Cleveland will call on Joey Cantillo to start in place of the injured Alex Cobb. While Cantillo is probably an upgrade over Cobb this season, it’s important to note this will be only his 4th MLB start, with the previous outings lasting a combined 13 innings. I’ll back the over in a game where the bats should thrive.
