The MLB rolls along on Wednesday with a number of intriguing matchups throughout the day. And what better way to celebrate a full slate of baseball than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay with a payout of over 10/1 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Boston Red Sox ML (+130) over Toronto Blue Jays
To start off this mega parlay, we have the Red Sox on the money line. Boston was red-hot heading into its series against the Blue Jays, but Toronto has taken the first 2 games to jump back into second place in the AL East. The Red Sox are hitting as well as any team in baseball, led by the terrific trio of Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez. Boston is also getting surprisingly excellent starting pitching from Nick Pivetta. After his postseason heroics a season ago, Pivetta has been the ace of the staff in 2022. The veteran right-hander has surrendered more than 3 runs just once this season. He is also averaging a career-best in WHIP and ERA, making this the strongest season of his career to date.
Alek Manoah will counter for the Blue Jays, who are looking to win their third straight. Manoah has been outstanding for Toronto, and it would be understandable to see the Blue Jays as short home favorites in this one. However, catching the Red Sox at this price with Pivetta on the mound is something I can’t pass up. Let’s back Boston to start off our parlay with a big road win.

Miami Marlins ML (-110) over St. Louis Cardinals
For the next leg of our parlay, we are going with the Miami Marlins on the money line. The Marlins have fallen on hard times this season, but they can still pitch. Spearheading their solid rotation is the NL Cy Young favorite, Sandy Alcantara. When Alcantara takes the mound, the Marlins generally win games and it’s easy to see why. Alcantara has been excellent in 2022, posting an ERA of 1.95 with a career-best WHIP of 0.95 through 106 innings pitched. The Cardinals have the better offense, but will be at a disadvantage on the mound with Andre Pallante.
Now while Pallante has been effective, he’s only exceeded 4 innings pitched in 3 of 22 appearances this season, meaning this could be a bullpen game for the Cardinals. Alcantara has multiple complete-game efforts already, and typically pitches deep into the late innings. If the Marlins can get a few early runs, that might be all we need to cash this leg.

San Diego Padres alternate run line -2.5 (+170) over Arizona Diamondbacks
To finalize this mega parlay, we have the Padres on an alternate run line. The Padres continue to aspire for an NL West title, and Mike Clevinger seems to be a pitcher that they hit well for. Clevinger will make his sixth start of the season as he continues to work back from injury and so far, he’s been a good luck charm for San Diego. The Padres are a resounding 5-0 with an average winning margin of more than 2 runs when Clevinger gets the start. On the other side, the Diamondbacks continue to struggle mightily this season, as they’ve lost 7 of their last 9 games and face an uphill battle today against Clevinger and the Padres offense.
I’m expecting a statement win by the Padres on Wednesday to capture the series victory, so back San Diego to win by 3 runs or more at a big plus-money price.
