The MLB season is officially in full swing and we have another great slate on Wednesday with a bunch of interesting matchups. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay.

We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every MLB game today.

Houston Astros ML (-116)

Cleveland Guardians ML (+180)

Oakland Athletics ML (+152)

Parlay odds: +1213

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Houston Astros ML (-116) over Texas Rangers

We’re backing the Astros on the money line to start this mega parlay. Houston hasn’t gotten off to the start that they imagined, but they’re still the far more talented team here. Unfortunately for Rangers fans, it doesn’t look like their big offseason signing of Corey Seager was enough to pull them out of their rebuild. Texas has started just 6-11, and they’ve been held to two or fewer runs in three of their past four games.

They’re likely going to need a lot more run support than that here with Glenn Otto on the mound. Otto was solid in his first outing of 2022, pitching five innings against the A’s last Friday. But don’t get overly excited. In six starts in 2021, Otto had a 9.26 ERA and 1.71 WHIP, and he’s facing a much tougher lineup here than he did last week. Houston also has a big bullpen advantage here. The Astros are in the top 10 in the league for relief-pitcher ERA, while the Rangers are 24th.

Cleveland Guardians ML (+180) over Los Angeles Angels

To really make this a mega parlay we need a couple of money line ‘dogs right? Give me the Guardians at +180. It might not feel great betting against Shohei Ohtani, but there’s value here. Ohtani has made three starts this season and he was great in his two outings against the Astors, but he also got shellacked by the Rangers for six earned runs. And Cleveland starter Zach Plesac has been just as good.

He isn’t striking out as many batters, but Plesac has only allowed three total earned runs in three starts. He’s surrendered just two walks in 17 and 2/3 innings which is pretty incredible. Much like the Rangers, the Angels also have a shaky bullpen. Los Angeles has the fifth-highest bullpen ERA in MLB, so even if Ohtani pitches well they very well could blow it. Getting nearly 2/1 is just too good to pass up.

Oakland Athletics ML (+152) over San Francisco Giants

To wrap this mega parlay up we have Oakland on the money line. Everyone wrote off the A’s this offseason because they cheaped out and traded Matt Olson and can barely get a few thousand fans in the stadium. Well guess what? They’ve always been cheap and they’ve always had an empty stadium. And they still managed to finish 10 games above .500 last year, so I’m not sure why everyone was so certain they’d be a bottom-feeder this time around. They’ve been solid enough through the first few weeks, entering this one with an even 9-9 mark.

They’ll start Paul Blackburn here, who has been everything the team could’ve hoped for so far. Blackburn has a 1.80 ERA and 0.80 WHIP through three starts, and the A’s have won each of the three games he’s been on the mound for. The Giants will start Sam Long here, a young guy with only 46 and 1/3 big league innings under his belt. He’s got a 4.86 ERA in those innings, so I don’t trust him as this large of a favorite over Blackburn.
