Help me, help you. It’s Wednesday and we need something to get us over the hump. May I suggest an MLB parlay? There is nothing in the world that offers more hope than a parlay. That’s just a fact. Small dollars bringing home big dollars is why we play this game we play. What’s great about today is the fact that we’ve got a pretty even amount of action spread out between day and night games. We can get an early parlay in the afternoon and then come back in later and do whatever we want with the night games. It’s our world people, everyone else is just living in it.
If this MLB parlay hits, it will go down as a great day in gambling history. But don’t forget, we’ve also got picks on the side and total for all of today’s games.
Michael Wacha over 4.5 strikeouts (+130)
Brad Keller over 4.5 strikeouts (-140)
Jeff Hoffman over 4.5 strikeouts (-125)
Max Kranick over 3.5 strikeouts (+120)
Parlay odds: +1461
Michael Wacha over 4.5 strikeouts (+130)
I don’t normally think to parlay pitcher strikeout props but it’s Wednesday. We have to spice things up and honestly this is a great way to do it. I’m starting with Michael Wacha because +130 at 4.5 is insane. He’s gone over this number in each of his last four starts and he’s getting a Baltimore Orioles team that is whiffing at an almost 30% rate over their last 173 at bats. That’s just bad. Wacha has not been great this season but he’s been good enough. Even in his last two outings where he gave up four-plus runs, he still struck out at least five guys. I think this is a great way to start the MLB parlay.

Brad Keller over 4.5 strikeouts (-140)
My guy Brad Keller takes the mound today and we should get on him. Keller is a 6’5″ 250-pound strikeout machine and at 4.5, he’s a must-play. Sure he could give up a five-spot in the first inning but that’s just the Brad Keller experience. Lean into it. Since coming back from the break our boy hasn’t struck out less than seven in either start. The beauty of this one is he will get to throw to another pitcher since the game is in a National League park. Back Keller once and you will never be the same. That much I can guarantee. This fits in our MLB parlay like a glove.

Jeff Hoffman over 4.5 strikeouts (-125)
I’m pretty sure you don’t know who Jeff Hoffman is but trust me, he’s legit. He’s never really been a “strikeout guy” but he gets the New York Mets today and they make everyone look like a strikeout guy. Over their last 186 at bats they’ve struck out 45 times which isn’t terrible but it’s bad enough for us in this spot. He should get a free one since Marcus Stroman is a 50% K-guy and he will likely see him twice. If Hoffman can just be around 20% today this one has a really good shot of happening. If that does, our MLB parlay will still be alive for the last game.

Max Kranick over 3.5 strikeouts (+120)
This one is my favorite one and the fact that the MLB parlay comes down to it makes me feel pretty good. Great even. The kicker is I found out after I bet this one that it’s Kranick’s birthday today. How the hell is not going to strike out at least four Arizona Diamondbacks on his birthday? That’s not possible. The Diamondbacks are hitting the ball well (for them) since the all-star break but they are still striking out at a 25% clip. Madison Bumgarner is the starter for Arizona and he’s whiffing at a 50+% rate so there is that too. We don’t need Kranick to be great today. Just strike out four guys and we win our MLB parlay. Assuming all the other guys do their part of course.
