The 2022 MLB season rolls on and we have another full slate on Tuesday. There are a number of interesting matchups, including this NL East clash between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets, which is the first of a doubleheader starting at 3:10 pm ET.
What better way to celebrate this Tuesday showdown than by betting a same game parlay? We also have thoughts on the side and total, which you can find out in our full game preview.
Braves ML (+102)
Over 7 total runs (-118)
Matt Olson to record a hit (-210)
Mark Canha to record a hit (-120)
Parlay odds: +730
We’ve come up with a four-leg parlay, which pays out north of 7/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break down each leg:
Atlanta Braves ML (+102)
To start off this same game parlay, we have the Atlanta Braves on the money line. Atlanta has been an inconsistent team this season, but they will have the better starter on the mound Tuesday night. Charlie Morton gets the call for Atlanta and while he has struggled out of the gate, I think that gets us a bit of value against Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco had a brilliant start to the season but seemed to regress back to his 2021 form in his last start against the Cardinals. Morton’s struggles came against the Dodgers and Padres, while Carrasco dominated the Nationals and Diamondbacks.
While the Braves lineup has slightly underperformed to this point, they should relish the opportunity to halt the momentum of their division rivals. This is an important series for the defending champions, and I expect them to treat it that way. Back Atlanta to pull off the victory on the road.

Over 7 total runs (-118)
While I do expect Morton to bounce back, this total is far too low for a game involving these offenses. The Mets are finally scoring runs at home this season, and it’s fair to suggest they get at least a couple off Morton. As previously mentioned, Carrasco has not faced a lineup with the firepower of the Braves to this point. This is a group that has been waiting to break out in a big way and Carrasco has been known to surrender hard contact against lefties. The likes of Matt Olson and Ozzie Albies should see success at Citi Field, and Austin Riley is developing into one of the best hitters in baseball. Throw that together with Ronald Acuna Jr. getting up to speed in the leadoff spot, and this could be a dangerous spot for Carrasco.
Expect the Mets to scratch home at least a handful of runs against Morton, and a Braves win correlates with their heavy hitters getting off to a good start in this spot. I think any total below 8 runs is worth a look at the over on Tuesday.
Matt Olson to record a hit (-210)
Matt Olson has hit the ground running in Atlanta. While he’s had to replace Freddie Freeman, Olson has quietly been one of the more consistent hitters at putting the ball in play in 2022. Perched near the top of the Braves lineup, Olson has hit safely in 5 of the last 9 games. He’s also reached base in 7-of-10. There is a reason this line is priced at -210, but I still like it as a piece to boost our odds. Olson should see 4 or 5 plate appearances, giving us multiple chances to cash this leg. Back the Braves’ new talisman to get us there.

Mark Canha to record a hit (-120)
Including legs from both teams always increases your odds in a same game parlay. But I don’t think Canha having success conflicts with the Braves picking up a win. With hits in his last 7 games and a batting average of .356 this season, Canha is one of the most surprising hitters in the Mets lineup. Hitting in the middle of the order should give him at least 4 plate appearances, giving us multiple chances to cash this leg. At this price, Canha is worth adding to this parlay for more value.
