Jacob deGrom is pitching against the Milwaukee Brewers on ESPN at 7:10pm ET. This is must-watch stuff even if it’s the Mets we are talking about here. The NBA Finals don’t start until 9pm ET, so we have plenty of time to get our fill of this game. Plus DeGrom pitches like he’s double-parked so we might even be in the seventh inning or later by the time we need to switch gears. A same game parlay feels like the right move here and I found a sweet one that requires only two moves. This could be amazing!

Backing the Mets feels dumb but with Jacob deGrom, anything is possible. They don’t hit dingers, which is a big problem. In fact, only two teams in MLB have hit fewer home runs this season than they have. We’re talking Pittsburgh Pirates and Arizona Diamondbacks type of low-T offense here. But, DeGrom should be able to keep the Brewers off the board. Only one team in MLB has struck out more than the Brewers this season so DeGrom might just mow guys down. Brewers’ starter, Brett Anderson, looked like a piñata in his last start against Arizona, lasting only 1.1 innings in the loss. The Mets should be able to do enough against him to win this one in a 5-1 type of game.

DeGrom is nasty but people do get hits off him. When I saw this number on Adames I immediately thought, “I should bet that” so it passed the first-glance test. Once I looked into it, I was sold. Adames has a six-game hitting streak going and has recorded at least two hits in two of those games. He got three in one of them. Basically, the dude is seeing the ball right now. Not that it really matters but he also put one in the seats against DeGrom the last time he saw him. I think he gets two hits in a 5-1 loss tonight. If he does, we will take down a +1083 parlay.
