We cashed a +800 mega parlay on Thursday, so let’s keep the momentum going as the MLB weekend continues on Saturday. There are plenty of options with which to work, as a full 15-game schedule is on the menu.
Below is my mega parlay for Saturday, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks in addition to my best YRFI/NRFI bets.

Astros -1.5 over Rays (+160)
The Rays were unfathomably hot to begin the season, but now they somehow find themselves not even in first place in their own division. Tampa Bay is 3-8 in its last 11 games and has been overtaken in the American League East by Baltimore. The visitors at least managed to take the first contest of this series, but this game sets up well for the Astros. Taj Bradley is going for the Rays and he is 5-6 with a 5.30 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. Through 4 July outings his monthly ERA stands at 6.87, this coming after pitching to a 6.26 ERA during June. The Astros (6-3 in their last 9 overall) are countering with Hunter Brown. Although Brown may not be anything close to an ace, he is much better than Bradley and in his only previous start against Tampa Bay this season he worked 7.0 innings of shutout baseball while allowing just 2 hits as his team prevailed 1-0.
Cubs ML over Cardinals (+100)
St. Louis veteran Adam Wainwright is pretty much an automatic fade at this point in his career. The right-hander has been a great one for the Cardinals over the course of time, but the end of the road has come. At 41 years old, Wainwright is saddled with an absurd 7.31 ERA and a 1.92 WHIP this season. Now he has to go up against a Cubs squad that has won 7 in a row (including the first 2 of this series) and has scored a total of 49 runs during this hot streak. Ian Happ is 13-for-34 (.382) lifetime against Wainwright expense with 3 doubles and an amazing 6 home runs. And that’s just to name one guy. The entire Chicago lineup should be able to continue raking at the expense of a washed-up opponent. Meanwhile, Jameson Taillon of the Cubs faced the Cardinals last Sunday and surrendered only 1 run in 5.2 innings of work during a 7-2 victory.

Braves -1.5 over Brewers (-110)
No matter that the Braves have understandably cooled off in July on the heels of a record-setting June. They are still the best team in baseball (record-wise, at least) and continue to mash. If they can just get a decent outing from Bryce Elder, this has all the makings of a multi-run victory. Elder hasn’t been as hot as he was earlier in the 2023 campaign, but he is still 7-2 with a 3.30 ERA. Starting for Milwaukee is former Atlanta right-hander Julio Teheran. The Brewers have lost 3 of his last 4 starts and 6 of his last 8. The Brewers lost the series opener 10-7 on Friday night and Teheran lost to the Braves 4-2 this past Sunday. Look for more of the same to continue.
