Chicago Cubs ML over Los Angeles Dodgers (+140)
To start off our MLB parlay, I’m going with the Chicago Cubs on the money line. The main storyline ahead of tonight’s game is the marquee pitching matchup between Shota Imanaga and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The pair own a combined 18-5 record on the season and this game will truly be a pitchers’ duel, but I still give the edge to Chicago, especially given Yamamoto will be making his first appearance for the Dodgers since June 15.
Yamamoto was placed on the 60-day injured list on July 13 due to triceps tightness and has since made a pair of rehab starts in Triple-A. He’s expected to be on a pitch count in this game, especially with the Dodgers holding a solid 5.5-game lead in the NL West. On the other side, Imanaga has not missed a start and owns an impressive 2.99 ERA across 26 outings. If you remove those 2 starts, Imanaga has allowed 3 earned runs or less in 23 of his 24 other starts, which bodes well heading into this outing. The Cubs’ lineup went for a whopping 16 hits and 10 runs last night, so even half of that production will put them in a great position to win this one.

Seattle Mariners ML over San Diego Padres (-120)
For the second leg of this MLB parlay, I’m going with the Seattle Mariners on the money line. Both of these teams in the race for Wild Card spots with very little margin for error. Yu Darvish gets the ball for the Padres, and he threw just over 60 pitches against the Tigers while failing to make it out of the 3rd inning. While that is to be expected in his first start back from the IL, Darvish is not a pitcher that I’m looking to back at the moment. On the other side, the Mariners offense has been woeful for most of the season, but Seattle has actually been starting to hit well during this recent stretch. And with George Kirby on the hill, the Mariners are almost always going to be put in a decent position to compete, and potentially win the game. With too many questions about Darvish, I can only look at the home team in this one.

Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5 over Texas Rangers (+124)
To close out this MLB parlay, I’m going with the Arizona Diamondbacks on the run line. Arizona has cooled off a bit recently after a torrid month of baseball following the All-Star break. However, I still like getting to back Zac Gallen at home against a team that isn’t a playoff contender this season. Gallen was sharp in his last start, tossing 6 scoreless frames with 0 hits allowed and 8 strikeouts, and while that form might not completely carry over into Tuesday’s outing, Gallen should still see success against a mediocre Rangers lineup. On the other side, Nathan Eovaldi’s ERA on the road is a full run higher than his home ERA, and he’ll be tasked with a very tough matchup against an elite Arizona lineup that is firing on all cylinders at the moment. Let’s back the home team to win by multiple runs to close things out.
