After an action-packed Monday on the diamond, the MLB action doesn’t slow down with an exciting 15-game slate on the docket. With every team in action, there is plenty to attack and craft an MLB parlay. Let’s dive into today’s MLB parlay picks, as games get underway at 6:35 pm ET with the Orioles taking on the Nationals and concluding with the Braves taking on the Giants at 9:45 pm ET.  You can also check out all of our MLB picks for the action on Tuesday, August 13.

Braves vs Giants Under 8.5 (-125)

Diamondbacks -1.5 (-105)

Mariners vs Tigers Under 7 (+105)

MLB parlay odds: +621

For this MLB parlay, I am going with a bet on the under in San Francisco, an under between the Mariners and Tigers and a wager on the Diamondbacks run line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Atlanta Braves vs San Francisco Giants Under 8.5 (-125)

To start it off, I’m going with the under between the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants. On Monday, Chris Sale and Blake Snell combined for 23 strikeouts, 5 hits and no runs, with a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning being all the Braves would need to secure a 1-0 victory. Even though this pitching matchup doesn’t have the same appeal on paper, I still think we’re looking at a low-scoring game in this contest. Charlie Morton takes the ball for Atlanta on Tuesday and he could have favorable results in a pitcher’s park, as the Giants rank 21st in wRC+ against right-handed hitters.

Left-hander Kyle Harrison of the Giants has been slightly more consistent than Morton this season, posting a 4.08 ERA and 4.72 xERA across 20 starts in 2024. However, much like Morton, Harrison has had his ups and downs. Each of the 8 games that Harrison has completed at least 6.0 innings has resulted in a quality outing, but the other 12 have gone 6.0 innings or less. That being said, the Giants have the second-best bullpen xFIP in baseball so 5.0 innings from Harrison should be more than enough. Let’s get there with the under in the Bay Area.

Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5 over Colorado Rockies (-105)

For the second leg of this parlay, I’m going with the Arizona Diamondbacks on the run line over the Colorado Rockies. Arizona’s run over the past month has been nothing short of dominant, winning 8 of its last 9 games (and 22 of the last 30 overall) while averaging an impressive 6.67 runs per game during that stretch. Arizona has posted a 16-3 record over its last 19 games, which further underscores their current form.

In stark contrast, the Rockies have struggled significantly on the road this season, posting a dismal 17-44 record away from the friendly confines of Coors Field. Arizona’s current form and home-field advantage make the Diamondbacks strong favorites for a convincing win on Tuesday. The pitching matchup doesn’t help Colorado either as they’ll send 30-year-old Austin Gomber to the mound, who holds a 4.93 ERA on the season. Given these factors, our edge is to take the red-hot Diamondbacks on the run line.

Seattle Mariners vs Detroit Tigers Under 7 (+105)

To close out this MLB parlay, I’m going with another under as we head to Detroit for a game between the Mariners and the Tigers. We’re getting an elite pitching matchup in Seattle on Tuesday, as George Kirby and Tarik Skubal will take the mound for their respective teams. Just last week, these starters squared off against each other and the game was 3-2 when both starters departed. That feels like the ceiling for these offenses against pitching of this caliber.

The Tigers have struggled to plate runs all season long, and while Seattle’s offense has gotten a little better with a healthy Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh, this lineup still strikes out way too much to be successful. Pitchers can always have bad days, but Kirby and Skubal seem fairly immune to that, and these bullpens are both solid enough to get this under home at plus-money odds.
