The week in Major League Baseball continues with a full 15-game schedule on Tuesday. With just a couple of weeks remaining in the regular season, races for division titles and wild-card spots are heating up in a major way. Both Baltimore and Houston find themselves in battles in their divisions, and they are currently going head-to-head in a 3-game series. Today’s slate also includes Blue Jays vs Yankees and Phillies vs Braves.
Below is my mega parlay for Tuesday, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.
Rays -1.5 (+105)

Rays -1.5 over Angels (+105)
The Rays have everything to play for. At the other end of the spectrum are the Angels, who most definitely do not. Tampa Bay briefly tied Baltimore in the American League East by taking the first two contests of their head-to-head series last week, but two subsequent losses left them in trailing mode again. Thus the Rays will be eager to get back on track, and they should be able to against Patrick Sandoval and the Angels.
Sandoval is 7-13 with a 4.48 ERA and he has allowed at least 5 runs in no more than 5.0 innings in each of his 3 starts this month. Although Tampa Bay starter Taj Bradley is nothing special, I will happily roll with the much more inspired ballclub.
Mets ML over Marlins (+140)
The Mets don’t have anything to play for, but that doesn’t mean they are just going to roll over – especially not against a National League East rival such as Miami. They took the series opener in Miami on Monday and may be able to win 2 straight at the Marlins’ expense behind Joey Lucchesi on Tuesday night.
Lucchesi is 3-0 with a 2.83 ERA in limited work during the 2023 campaign and his most recent outing was especially impressive. The left-hander worked 7.0 innings of 1-run baseball, helping New York cruise past Arizona 7-1 last Wednesday. With the Mets having won 2 in a row overall and 5 of their last 7, they have great value as +140 underdogs.

Rangers -1.5 (+142)
Texas right-hander Nathan Eovaldi has been on a pitch restriction since returning from the injured list at the beginning of September, but limited returns have been encouraging. He has surrendered just 2 earned runs in 5.2 innings of work across his last 2 starts. Overall he is 11-4 with a 2.96 ERA and 1.09 WHIP for the season. With 3 starts under his belt this month, the 33-year-old should only be getting better and better.
That is bad news for the Red Sox, who find themselves in last place in the AL East (the Rangers, on the other hand, are right behind the Astros atop the AL West). Boston won the series opener on Monday, but had lost 4 in a row prior to that result. Eovaldi will likely put the Sox back in the loss column.
