The week in Major League Baseball continues with a full 15-game slate on Tuesday. It includes Guardians vs Yankees, Orioles vs Mets, Phillies vs Braves, Red Sox vs Astros and Mariners vs Dodgers. Let’s get into my MLB parlay picks for today, and be sure to check out all of our MLB picks for Tuesday, August 20.
Yankees -1.5 (+136)
Blue Jays -1.5 (+142)
Orioles ML (+102)
MLB parlay odds: +825
For this MLB parlay, I am going with two favorites on the run line and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the three legs.
New York Yankees -1.5 over Cleveland Guardians (+136)
The Yankees are 20-5 against American League Central opponents this season as they head into the opener of this highly anticipated series with the Guardians. That’s not to say that the Bronx Bombers are a mortal lock to win, but they should go into this contest with confidence. They are 2-1 against Cleveland in 2024 and should be in line to make it 3-1 with Luis Gil on the mound. Gil is 12-6 with a 3.25 ERA. The Guardians are countering with Matthew Boyd, who is making just his second start of the season. He is 1-3 with a 5.19 ERA lifetime against the Yankees. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto should continue to make life tough on Boyd. Look for New York to prevail by multiple runs on Tuesday night.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 over Cincinnati Reds (+142)
The Reds won the series opener 6-3 on Monday, but it’s still difficult to have much confidence in this team. After all, Cincinnati was coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of Kansas City, when they lost by scores of 7-1, 13-1 and 8-1. The Reds are 61-64 and seemingly out of the wild-card race in the National League, 5.5 games back of Atlanta for the third spot. With their hopes fading, Carson Spiers is toeing the rubber on Tuesday. Spiers is 4-4 with a 4.55 ERA and 1.29 WHIP; through 3 August starts, he is 0-2 with an 8.78 ERA. The Blue Jays’ offense should be able to take advantage – especially Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who has homered three times in the last six games. Any amount of run support may be enough for Jose Berrios, who has allowed just 2 earned runs over 14.0 innings in his past two starts. Give me Toronto to win big.

Baltimore Orioles ML over New York Mets (+102)
A thriller on Monday saw the Mets walk it off in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 4-3 victory. I expect the Orioles to bounce back in the second game of this series. New York is still just 4-6 in its last 10 outings, and it is 0-3 in Jose Quintana’s previous three appearances. Quintana lost two of those three games while compiling a 6.89 ERA in August. That does not bode well for his prospects against a potent Baltimore lineup led in part by Gunnar Henderson, who has gone deep in four of the last six games. With Dean Kremer coming off a quality start (1 run in 6.0 innings against the Nationals last week), the O’s have good value as slight underdogs.
