Cleveland Guardians ML over Baltimore Orioles (+134)

The Guardians kicked off their series with the Orioles by securing a 3-2 victory last night and look good to secure yet another upset win today. Baltimore has been struggling since winning their series against the Yankees and has actually lost 4 straight matchups. Expect Cleveland to continue taking advantage of that slump with their hot bats and solid pitching, which have contributed to them going 10-2 as an underdog on the run line across their last 12 games. Toeing the rubber for the Guardians tonight will be Logan Allen, who has an 8-3 record and has held opponents to 3 runs or fewer in 7 of his last 10 starts. Given what the Guardians have shown this season, they don’t deserve to be this big of an underdog against a vulnerable Orioles team, and look a worthy pick for our MLB parlay.

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 over Detroit Tigers (-105)

This Phillies vs Tigers matchup has all the makings of a pitchers’ duel, with Ranger Suarez on the hill for Philadelphia while Detroit will be starting ace Tarik Skubal. Suarez is 10-1 this season with a 1.75 ERA, while Skubal boasts an 8-3 record with a 2.50 ERA. However, the difference-maker here could be Skubal’s recent slump, having given up 4 earned runs in each of his last 2 starts against the Braves and Astros. Now he comes up against one of the most potent offenses in the league and could be made to pay for it, especially given how much the Phillies excel against southpaws.

As for Suarez, he gave up just 1 earned run against the Dodgers’ all-star lineup and did the same against a strong Orioles team. He is 5-1 on the road this season with a 1.94 ERA and should be able to keep the Tigers’ bats quiet, who have been held to just 1 run or less in 6 of their last 8 games. Even if Skubal has a solid game, the Phillies should still be able to do enough to win this game by a couple of runs. Therefore, backing the Phillies on the run line is the next play in our MLB parlay.

Atlanta Braves -1.5 over St. Louis Cardinals (-120)

To wrap up our MLB parlay picks, we have the Braves -1.5 against the Cardinals. St. Louis has been red-hot lately, winning 4 in a row and earning a 4-3 victory against the Braves yesterday. However, the edge should go to Atlanta today with Reynaldo Lopez on the mound. Lopez has given up 3 earned runs or more just once this season, and that happened 2 months ago. He has held opponents scoreless in each of his last 2 starts and gets to hand the ball over to a bullpen that has the third-lowest ERA in MLB. Getting the start for the Cardinals will be Kyle Gibson, who has been solid this season but is dealing with back tightness, which could limit his impact in this matchup. With how hot Lopez has been and the strength of Atlanta’s offense, I’m closing out our MLB parlay picks for today by backing the Braves -1.5.
