We are continuing the week in Major League Baseball with a full 15-game slate on Tuesday. Both the Mets and Yankees are in action as they look to hold off challengers in their respective divisions. The Mets were supposed to open their series against the Pirates on Monday, but that contest got rained out. A more intriguing matchup is in store for the Yankees, who will face the Twins again after taking the series opener on Monday. Meanwhile, the schedule is wrapping up with a 10:10 pm ET start time between National League West rivals San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Let’s take a look at the three components of today’s mega parlay.
Phillies -1.5 (+110)
Reds ML (+145)
Mariners -1.5 (+145)
Parlay odds: +1161
For this parlay, we are going with two favorites on the run line and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 over Miami Marlins (+110)
The Phillies are coming off a forgettable west-coast road trip, but they are still in a solid position for a National League wild-card spot. Now they are hosting the Marlins, who have been atrocious since the all-star break. They were just swept by the Braves in a series in which they scored just a single run in each game. Outside of NL Cy Young favorite Sandy Alcantara, there isn’t much going for this Miami team. Alcantara won’t be on the mound for this one, so fading the Fish pretty much automatically becomes a good play. Jesus Luzardo is toeing the rubber and Miami has lost 7 of his last 8 starts – that includes losses to some bad teams like the A’s and Reds. Philadelphia should have no trouble winning big behind starter Aaron Nola.

Cincinnati Reds ML over Chicago Cubs (+145)
The Cubs brought in a sizable number of veterans last summer, albeit not big names. One of the few who has panned out in successful fashion this season is Tuesday starter Wade Miley. He has compiled a 2.84 ERA, but keep in mind that his sample size is only four starts. It should also be noted that his xFIP is around 4.50, so some negative regression could be coming. The Reds are countering with Justin Dunn, who admittedly is unspectacular. Still, in a battle between two bad teams you have to be intrigued by a +145 price on the money line. Plus the Reds are a respectable 5-5 in their last 10, whereas the Cubs are 2-8 over the same stretch.

Seattle Mariners -1.5 over Chicago White Sox (+145)
Johnny Cueto will get the start for the White Sox on Tuesday night. Cueto is sporting a 2.93 ERA, but a 3.84 xERA means he is due for some negative regression. For the Mariners, Logan Gilbert bounced back from some sub-par starts in August to fire 6.0 scoreless innings against the Athletics in his most recent appearance. In that effort he allowed only 2 hits and recorded 9 strikeouts. The Oakland offense is far different than Chicago’s, but Gilbert should still be able to build off that performance. Before Monday’s 3-2 loss, the Mariners had won 7 consecutive games and 9 of 10. They have quite simply been one of the best teams in the business since the all-star break. At well into plus-money, I like Seattle on the run line.
