We are continuing the week in Major League Baseball with an 11-game slate on Thursday. There are 6 afternoon games on the schedule, as teams conclude their various series and head on the road to begin others. Today’s menu starts with the Braves hosting the Marlins at 12:20 pm ET, but I am targeting 3 of the later games.

Below is my mega parlay for Thursday, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.

White Sox ML (+130)

Mets -1.5 (-110)

Twins -1.5 (+105)

MLB parlay odds: +800

For this parlay we are going with 2 favorites on the run line and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

White Sox ML over Rays (+130)

The Rays are the best team in baseball – at least according to the standings – and the White Sox are among the worst. However, when Dylan Cease toes the rubber you can throw records out the window. Cease went 14-8 with a 2.20 ERA last season for Chicago and he is off to a 2-0 start with a 2.73 ERA through 5 appearances this year. The right-hander has mowed down 34 batters in 26.1 innings of work. His most recent outing against the Rays wasn’t great, but the White Sox still pushed them to extra innings (lost 4-3 in 10) and that was in Tampa Bay. Now the Sox have home-field advantage at Guaranteed Rate Field. Moreover, it’s not like the Rays are unbeatable at the moment. They are a modest 7-5 since beginning the 2023 campaign 13-0.

Mets -1.5 over Nationals (-110)

The Nationals and Mets finish their 3-game after the Nationals surprisingly took the first 2. I can’t see New York losing 3 in a row to such a bad opponent. Joey Lucchesi should be able to come to the rescue, as his only previous start so far this season saw him work 7.0 shutout innings while striking out 9 and allowing only 4 hits against the Giants. Now he faces a Washington club that is second-to-last in the National League in runs scored. The Nats are countering with Trevor Williams, who has been solid but unspectacular this year. I expect the Mets’ bats to wake up and lead the way to a multi-run victory.

Twins -1.5 over Royals (+105)

Minnesota started this week in style, with a series win over the Yankees for the first time since 2001. The Twins scored 6 runs in all 3 games, which is a huge step in the right direction because offensive production had been a huge problem. If this team can bring out the bats on a consistent basis, the rest of the American League Central is going to be in trouble throughout the season. A strong pitching rotation includes Tyler Mahle, who has a 3.32 ERA with a 3.25 xERA and a career-low 5.7% walk rate through 4 outings. Mahle is going up against Zack Greinke, who in year 20 has a 4.61 ERA to go along with a 5.45 xERA after 27.1 innings. Looking back at 2022, Greinke made 3 starts in Minnesota and was 0-3 with a 5.79 ERA.
