There are 12 games on the Thursday schedule as the week in Major League Baseball continues. Orioles vs Yankees and Phillies vs Rays are among the headliners, while we also have some afternoon action with Cubs vs Brewers being the standout. I cashed my last mega parlay at +1233 odds and the Pickswise team hit a +529 MLB parlay on Monday, so let’s keep the momentum going! Below are my plays for Thursday, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks in addition to my MLB YRFI/NRFI best bets.
Marlins -1.5 (+150)
Yankees ML (+105)
Rangers -1.5 (+120)
MLB parlay odds: +1028
For this parlay, we are going with 2 favorites on the run line and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Miami Marlins -1.5 over St. Louis Cardinals (+150)
Eury Perez is back in action for Miami on Thursday and it’s redemption time for the young right-hander. He faced the Braves last week and allowed 6 runs without even making it out of the first inning. Of course, Perez was so good prior to that start that he is still 5-2 with 2.47 ERA despite getting torched by Atlanta. The 20-year-old has been pretty much dominant this season otherwise, and I expect him to return to his former ways now that the opposition is St. Louis instead of Atlanta.
Whereas the Braves are the best team in baseball, the Cardinals are one of the worst teams in the National League at 35-51 and have scored almost 100 fewer runs than the Braves. Even with Jack Flaherty throwing today, this is still a favorable matchup for Perez and the Marlins. Miami has won 3 in a row and is 12 games over .500 at home, too, so I’m confident that the favorites can win and cover.
New York Yankees ML over Baltimore Orioles (+105)
Although the Yankees lost on Wednesday, they still have a chance to take this 4-game series having won the first 2 of the set against their American League East rivals. New York has been the much better team overall in recent weeks and finds itself just 3 games back of Baltimore in the standings. Losers of 6 of 8, the Orioles’ woes may continue today against an opponent that is a solid 7 games over .500 at home. Kyle Bradish has been good for Baltimore this year, which is why the visitors are favored. Still, I have faith that Luis Severino will get back on track sooner rather than later – and by “sooner“ I mean this evening. The Yankees have nice value as underdogs.

Texas Rangers -1.5 over Boston Red Sox (+120)
Nathan Eovaldi is taking the mound for the Rangers on Thursday to face his former team. Eovaldi is 10-3 with a 2.64 ERA and 0.99 WHIP so far this season and Boston’s lineup is a combined 2-for-11 lifetime against him with zero extra-base hits. In his most recent start last week, the veteran right-hander befuddled Houston in the form of 7.0 innings of scoreless baseball. That’s the Astros we are talking about, too; the Red Sox are not the Astros.
Kutter Crawford will be toeing the rubber for Boston and he generally doesn’t work too deep into games. Crawford has been solid but unspectacular in 2023, so the pitching matchup definitely favors Texas. The Rangers lead all of Major League Baseball in runs scored, too, so I expect them to win and cash the -1.5 run line.
