The MLB season is officially in full swing and we have another great slate on Thursday with a bunch of interesting matchups. And what better way to celebrate the start of a new month than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay.

We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every MLB game today.

New York Mets ML (+142)

Minnesota Twins -1.5 (+104)

Detroit Tigers ML (+132)

Parlay odds: +1045

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

New York Mets ML (+142) over Philadelphia Phillies

I can’t understand why the Mets are such a large underdog here, so I’m taking them on the money line for our first parlay leg. New York has cooled off a tiny bit after their scorching hot, but even ‘cooled off’ just means they’ve been a .500 team over the past week or so. Before that they were on fire, and they’re still 18-9 on the year. The Mets will start Taijuan Walker here, who has only given up two hits and no runs through seven innings this season.

Both of his appearances in 2022 have come against the Phillies, and he’s stifled them both times. Philly has lost three games in a row, and they’re coming off a poor effort where they mustered only one run against the Rangers. Bryce Harper is still struggling a bit, and Rhys Hoskins has been dreadful. So too has Jean Segura. The Mets are the better team right now and it feels like a draw at worst on the mound with Walker against Aaron Nola, so getting this much plus-money is a steal.

Minnesota Twins -1.5 (+104) over Baltimore Orioles

For our next parlay leg we’ve got the Twins on the run line. Minnesota got off to a slow start, but they’ve been one of the hottest teams in the league over the past couple of weeks. They’ve won 11 of their last 13 overall, while the Orioles once again look like one of the worst teams in the league. Importantly, the Twins have scored at least five runs in eight of their past nine victories, which has me feeling a lot better about laying the -1.5 run line.

In fact, their past six wins have come by a combined score of 39-8, so if they win this one there’s a good chance it’s lopsided. Minnesota will start Chris Archer here, who has only given up five runs and 11 hits through 15 and 1/3 innings of work. The Orioles are already nine games back in their division and know they aren’t going anywhere in 2022. Only two members of Baltimore’s lineup have an OPS above .706, and nobody is higher than .788. That tells you everything you need to know.

Detroit Tigers ML (+132) over Houston Astros

To wrap this mega parlay up and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got the Tigers on the money line. Detroit has been a bit of a disappointment after the splashy acquisitions they made this offseason, but they’ve also played a brutal schedule. They’ve been unlucky enough to have already played a series against both the Dodgers and Yankees, for example. The Astros certainly haven’t looked unbeatable, and the Tigers have a big edge on the mound here with Tarik Skubal going up against Jose Urquidy.

Skubal has a 3.05 ERA and has only allowed three walks in 20 and 2/3 innings. Urquidy on the other hand has a 5.95 ERA, and he’s given up four home runs in less than 20 innings while also barely striking anybody out. Don’t count on Houston scoring much after Skubal leaves the game either. Detroit’s bullpen has an ERA of only 2.26 on the year, which is the lowest mark in MLB.
