The 2023 World Series is tied at one game a piece entering Game 3 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The Rangers’ Game 1 win brought plenty of late-inning drama while the Diamondbacks took the air out of the stadium with a dominant Game 2 win. With home field advantage now in favor of the Diamondbacks, they will look to take a stranglehold on this series this week. The Rangers have other ideas though as they are perfect on the road this postseason. Game 3 sets up to be yet another memorable game.

Diamondbacks ML (-110)
Over 9.5 (+115)
Corbin Carroll 2+ total bases (+120)
Same Game Parlay odds: +550
Arizona Diamondbacks ML (-110)
With the exception of about 3 innings, if that, the Diamondbacks have been on cruise control through 2 games. They have dominated much of the play thus far in this series, but a blown lead in the 9th inning in Game 1 ultimately led to a shocking loss. If the Diamondbacks can bring even a portion of their performance thus far, they will have a good chance to win on Monday.
As bizarre as it sounds, Brandon Pfaadt has had the better postseason between himself and Rangers Game 3 starter Max Scherzer. Scherzer’s Hall of Fame career aside, he has been touched up in 2 outings this postseason upon return from injury. Pfaadt just may be the more sure thing between game 3’s starters.
Over 9.5 (+115)
The over has hit in both games thus far in this series. The Diamondbacks have done the majority of the heavy lifting as they have scored 14 runs. The Rangers’ 7 runs in 2 games is nothing to scoff at either as that contributes to an average game total so far of 10.5 runs. If these teams can hold to their averages or at least close, the over will have a good look.
In 2 ALCS starts, Scherzer allowed 7 earned runs in 6.2 innings pitched. If he cannot get right in this one, it will mean the Diamondbacks probably put up a few runs to contribute to the over. While his counterpart Brandon Pfaadt has been solid, it remains to be seen if the youngster can sustain his playoff success. Overs trends have a good chance to continue on Monday.
Corbin Carroll 2+ total bases (+120)
A big part of the Diamondbacks’ success this year has been the emergence of rookie Corbin Carroll. He had a fantastic regular season and has kept it rolling in the postseason. In 54 at-bats in these playoffs, Carroll is hitting .296 with 2 home runs, 10 RBI’s, 4 stolen bases, and an .844 OPS. He has a good chance to be part of any offense that Arizona can muster up.
In the first 2 games of this World Series, Carroll has hit lead off and second in the lineup. He will likely bat among some combination of Ketel Marte, Christian Walker, and Tommy Pham among other hitters that have been productive. If Carroll can stay hot and get on base just once, he will have a great chance to advance on the base paths thanks to the hitters behind him.
