The second half of the season is underway and there has been plenty of excitement in the first 2 days. We enter our first Sunday of the second half of the season with an action-packed slate ahead of us, so let’s take a look at my MLB mega parlay for today.

Diamondbacks ML (+108)

Orioles ML (+100)

Red Sox -1.5 (+146)

Parlay odds: +923

Arizona Diamondbacks ML (+108) over Chicago Cubs

Brandon Pfaadt was an unsung hero for the Diamondbacks in the first half of the season. The 25-year-old posted a 3.97 ERA with a 3.38 xERA in 19 starts and became the ace of the Snakes rotation since Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly were sidelined with injuries. Pfaadt only got better since April and went into the All-Star break allowing just 2 runs in his last 3 starts. The right-hander will take on the Cubs for the second time this year and is hoping to have the same success he did back in April. Pfaadt surrendered just 2 runs and 6 hits while not walking a hitter in 7 innings against the Cubbies. With Pfaadt on the mound and Arizona’s success at the plate against left-handed pitchers, the Snakes are well worth the bet as underdogs in the North Side of Chicago.

Baltimore Orioles ML (+100) over Texas Rangers

The O’s have come out firing at the plate since the break. Baltimore has scored 17 runs in 2 games against the Rangers and are looking to sweep Texas with a win today. Oddly enough, even after their success at the plate in the series, the Orioles are underdogs in the series finale. Dean Kremer will get the start for the O’s and he’s been much better since returning from injury. The right-hander missed over a month with a triceps injury and rejoined the rotation right before the break and allowed 2 runs or less in 2 of his 3 starts. He will take on a Rangers lineup that has managed just 8 hits since starting the second half of the season, so I’m not too confident in the Rangers at the plate right now. I’m backing the O’s to complete the sweep at plus odds.

Boston Red Sox -1.5 (+146) over Los Angeles Dodgers

It’s Sunday Night Baseball in SoCal as the Red Sox and Dodgers finish up their 3-game set today. The Dodgers are attempting to sweep the Sox, but this series has been incredibly even. Boston has been winning in both games this series until a bullpen collapse in each game turned a big win into a disappointing loss. In an effort to avoid the sweep, the Red Sox will start Kutter Crawford. Crawford was phenomenal before the break since he was 3-0 with a 0.45 ERA in 3 starts in July. His counterpart is the former Red Sox rotation member James Paxton, and the southpaw has been terrible for Los Angeles this season. Paxton posted a 6.46 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in June and followed it up with a 5.19 ERA in 2 starts in July. There is a huge mismatch on the mound, so I’m taking the Red Sox to avoid the sweep with a statement win.
