Following an eventful Saturday on the diamond, the MLB action doesn’t slow down with a full 15-game slate on the docket today. With every team in action, there is plenty to attack and craft an MLB parlay. Let’s dive into today’s MLB parlay picks, as games get underway at 12:10 pm ET with the Marlins taking on the Mets and conclude with the Yankees taking on the Tigers on Sunday Night Baseball at 7:20 pm ET.

You can also check out all of our MLB picks for the action on Sunday, August 18.

Dodgers vs Cardinals under 8.5 (-125)

Marlins ML (+166)

Diamondbacks ML (-124)

MLB parlay odds: +778

For this MLB parlay, I am going with a bet on the under in St. Louis, plus the Marlins and Diamondbacks on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs St. Louis Cardinals Under 8.5 (-125)

To start it off, I’m going with the under between the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals. It appeared that this Dodgers offense was in the midst of turning the corner, but Los Angeles was very poor at the plate on Saturday and it now appears that Freddie Freeman will miss Sunday’s contest with a finger injury. That will hinder an already inconsistent Dodger lineup against Cardinals starter Sonny Gray and his 3.68 xERA and impressive strikeout and walk rate. On the other side, Clayton Kershaw doesn’t have much velocity on his fastball these days but is still able to get hitters out at age 36 thanks to his slider and curveball that still have a Stuff+ rating over 100. Look for the veteran left-hander to do just enough to keep this a low-scoring affair. I’ll back Under 8.5.

Miami Marlins ML over New York Mets (+166)

For the second leg of this parlay I’m going with the Miami Marlins on the money line. Miami will start rookie Valente Bellozo, who has looked solid over his 5 outings this season, each of of which came against respectable offenses. In fact, 3 of his 5 starts have been scoreless efforts, including his last 2 outings for the Fish. Bellozo is not an overpowering arm, but he draws a lot of weak contact — which makes him an attractive option to back at this plus money price. For the hosts, Paul Blackburn has made 3 starts for New York to mixed results. No one believes Blackburn is a difference maker, and he could go either way on any given night. It’s clear that the Marlins have a puncher’s chance with Bellozo on the bump, and the Miami lineup has been far better than expected since selling everyone it could at the deadline. Let’s back the Marlins for some value in this parlay.

Arizona Diamondbacks ML over Tampa Bay Rays (-124)

To close out this MLB parlay I’m going with the Arizona Diamondbacks on the money line. At some point the Diamondbacks were going to stop winning every time they took the field, and that happened to be on Friday and Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays. However, I’m targeting Arizona to bounce back on Sunday with Merrill Kelly on the mound against a Rays lineup that ranks inside the bottom 5 in runs scored per game this season. Conversely, Arizona’s offense has been red-hot since the all-star break and that should continue against Rays starter Taj Bradley, who has surrendered 15 runs over his last 3 outings (14.0 innings pitched). As short favorites, I’ll gladly take a stab on Arizona to get back to its winning ways at the Trop on Sunday.
