Minnesota Twins -1.5 (+110) over Kansas City Royals
To start off this mega parlay, we’re going with the Minnesota Twins on the run line. Minnesota took care of business in each of its first couple of games against the Royals, and I don’t see that trend dissipating on Sunday. The common theme in both Twins victories were the strong performances that Minnesota got from its pitching staff. Look for that to continue on Sunday, as Joe Ryan gets the ball and should pick up where he left off a season ago. Ryan was above average in a number of important metrics in 2022, including xBA, xERA and hard-hit rate. That bodes well against a Kansas City lineup that mustered up just 6 hits over the first 2 games. On the other side, Brad Keller allows a ton of hard contact and doesn’t strike out many hitters for Kansas City. I’ll back the Twins to win comfortably.
Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 (+110) over Detroit Tigers
For our second leg, we’re going with the Tampa Bay Rays on the run line. Tampa Bay has looked absolutely dominant in this opening series against the lowly Detroit Tigers and I don’t see that changing in the series finale on Sunday. The Tigers’ offense was downright anemic last season, ranking at the bottom of baseball in runs scored, slugging and on-base percentage. Those trends held true over the first 2 games of this season, as Detroit mustered up a combined 2 runs over 18 innings.
Things won’t get easier for the Tigers lineup against Jeffrey Springs. Springs pitched to a 2.46 ERA last season and his metrics profiled well across the board. The left-hander doesn’t allow much hard contact, has an elite chase rate and has a well above average xERA and barrel rate. Springs will be opposed by Joey Wentz, who doesn’t have much in the way of big-league experience. I’m comfortable backing Tampa Bay to win in convincing fashion.

San Francisco Giants vs New York Yankees Over 8.5 (+100)
To close out our mega parlay, we’ll be looking for runs in this game between the Giants and Yankees. Jhony Brito will get the start for New York and while he was impressive in spring training, the young prospect could have a tough time pitching in the pressure cooker of Yankee Stadium on Sunday. San Francisco had a decided change in its mentality at the plate on Saturday, which allowed the Giants to take control of the middle game in this series. However, the Giants are sending Ross Stripling to pitch against a Yankees lineup that is primed for a bounce-back effort. Stripling allowed 40 hits in 23 innings in the spring, and he’ll now have to face a top-tier offense in a hitters’ park. I expect both teams to see success at the plate, so I’ll take a chance on the over at the current number.
