So close! Yesterday’s mega parlay came up one leg short of a massive payout. I’m looking for revenge today and I have found 3 picks that create a 9/1 parlay from FanDuel Sportsbook, so let’s get right into it!

Nationals -1.5 (+160)

Brewers ML (+100)

Diamondbacks ML (+100)

Parlay odds: +940

Washington Nationals -1.5 (+160) over St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals are one of the worst teams in baseball against left-handed pitching. That was on full display yesterday since Patrick Corbin put together a decent outing against St. Louis. On the season, the Cardinals rank 29th in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS, and wRC+ against southpaws. Even with plenty of right-handed bats in the Cardinals lineup like Willson Contreras, Paul Goldschmidt, and Nolan Arenado, the Cards have struggled against most lefties in 2024. And if the Cardinals had trouble scoring against Corbin, I think they’re going to have a lot of struggles against MacKenzie Gore. The big lefty has been phenomenal recently as he’s allowed 2 earned runs or less in 4 of his last 5 starts. His ability to get swings and misses along with weak contact will be his key to success tonight.

Milwaukee Brewers ML (+100) over Los Angeles Dodgers

James Paxton has had it very easy over the last month or so. The veteran lefty faced the Pirates, Rangers, Rockies, White Sox, and Giants in June and only one of those teams ranked in the top 18 in wRC+ against left-handed pitching. But finally, Paxton faced a solid Giants lineup in his last outing and was shelled for 9 runs, 12 hits, and 1 home run in 4 innings. However, it won’t end there for Paxton as he has to face an elite Milwaukee team next. The Brewers have been extremely productive at the plate this season as their lineup ranks 4th in baseball in batting average. On the mound for Milwaukee is Freddy Peralta, the new ace of the staff. Peralta has put together another fine season as he’s posted a 3.83 ERA and 3.48 xERA after 17 starts. Plus, he limited hitters to a .225 batting average and .205 xBA in 6 starts in June. Take the Brewers to complete the upset in L.A.

Arizona Diamondbacks ML (+100) over San Diego Padres

Last season, the big three in the Diamondbacks rotation was Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly, and Brandon Pfaadt. But this year, Pfaadt has had to take all of the responsibility since Gallen and Kelly were hurt for most of the first half of the year. The young right-hander has lived up to expectations as he’s posted a 3.36 xERA and 6.3% barrel rate through 17 starts. Fortunately for Pfaadt, he’s backed by a red-hot lineup that is hitting .323 with a .968 OPS and 168 wRC+ in the last 7 days. That lineup will take on Matt Waldron, a knuckleballer who has actually had some solid success this year. However, Waldron’s worst start of the year came against the Snakes as he was shelled for 8 runs and 8 hits in just 3 innings. At plus odds, it’s hard to ignore the value with Pfaadt and the Diamondbacks.
