A huge Sunday slate of Major League Baseball action consists of 16 games, including a double-header between the Yankees and Rangers. The schedule wraps up with Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. Here is a look at the best same game parlay option for Dodgers-Cubs and also be sure to check out our full game preview for picks on the side and total.

Los Angeles Dodgers -2.5 (+148)

Freddie Freeman to record 2+ hits (+185)

Justin Turner to record an RBI (+140)

Parlay odds: +899

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Freddie Freeman getting multiple base knocks and Justin Turner driving in at least one run would obviously work well with a Los Angeles win and cover. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Los Angeles Dodgers -2.5 (+148)

Walker Buehler enters this game on a 14-inning scoreless streak. He did not allowe a run in his previous two starts against the Tigers and Diamondbacks. Those two teams don’t pack too much of a punch when it comes to their offense, but neither does the Cubs’ offense right now. In their last eight games the have Cubs averaged 1.38 runs and have ranked 30th in batting average, 29th in on-base percentage and 29th in OPS. The Chicago offense started the season as a run-scoring machine, but it has cooled off drastically over the last two weeks. And amidst their struggles, the Cubs have to face Buehler – who is starting to get into his rhythm and has pitched better on the road this season. He is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 0.64 WHIP in 14.0 innings away from Dodger Stadium. The Cubs do not give Marcus Stroman run support. In his five starts this season Chicago is 1-4 and averages 2.8 runs per game. Count on a big win for the Dodgers.

Freddie Freeman to record 2+ hits

Freeman is batting .318 in his first season out west and is on a three-game hitting streak. In five games this month he already has two multi-hit performances, including three hits in the series opener. All three of those were doubles, too. The veteran first baseman is seeing it like a beach ball right now and this should be a favorable matchup against the right-handed Stroman.

Justin Turner to record an RBI (+185)

Turner has struggled overall in 2022, but he is a respectable 2-for-6 lifetime against Stroman and he has hit safely in two of the last three games and drove in two runs during Saturday’s 7-0 whitewash of the Cubs that kicked off a double-header. With Freeman, Trea Turner and Will Smith all hitting well in front of him, there should be plenty more RBI opportunities for Turner on Sunday.
