Every other division series ended this past Saturday, but the ALDS between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians is going the distance all the way to Game 5 on Monday night. Cleveland had a chance to close the deal at home on Sunday but could not finish the job. New York’s season-saving 4-2 victory means the proceedings are going back to the Bronx for this winner-take-all showdown.

Here is our same game parlay for this ALDS Game 5, and also be sure to check out our full Guardians vs Yankees preview.

Yankees -1.5 (+140)

Anthony Rizzo to record an RBI (+170)

Aaron Judge to score a run (-125)

Parlay odds: +614

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Anthony Rizzo recording an RBI and Aaron Judge scoring a run would obviously work well with a New York win and cover. Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Yankees -1.5 (+140)

Even though Cleveland was heavy underdog when the series began and probably would have accepted to be in this situation if offered a week ago, neither club was hoping the series would go the full 5 games because pitching options have become slim. The Guardians will start Aaron Civale, who has not made an appearance in the 2022 postseason. There is a reason why Civale has not been used in this series, and it’s because he was rocked by the Yankees in the regular season. In 9.0 innings against them he allowed 10 runs and 12 hits, including 3 homers. The Guardians lost those starts by scores of 10-2 and 6-1. Civale was especially bad on the road in 2022, compiling a 5.88 such ERA and 1.29 WHIP. Opponents batted .265 against him when he was on the road compared to .231 at home. Although Jameson Taillon also does not inspire a ton of confidence for the Yankees, their bats should pave the way to a win.

Anthony Rizzo to record an RBI (+170)

With Civale on the mound and both Judge and Gleybar Torres hitting in front of him, Rizzo has a great opportunity to drive at least 1 run across the plate in Game 5. The lefty first baseman has been the most successful Yankee batter against Civale during his career, going 5-for-10 with 2 home runs and a double. Rizzo is coming off a 2-hit performance in Game 4 on Sunday night, too, so he has every reason to go into this contest with a massive amount of confidence. It should also be noted that Torres is 4-for-10 lifetime against Civale, so he will likely be on base at least once or twice ahead of Rizzo.

Aaron Judge to score a run (-125)

With Judge batting right in front of Rizzo, don’t be surprise if both of these prop bets hit on the same play – with Rizzo driving in Judge. In the most important game of the year for the Guardians, they are not going to want the Yankees’ best player to beat them. That best player, of course, is Judge. A free pass or two will likely be issued to New York’s star slugger over the course of the game, which would leave the run-producing job to Rizzo and others. It’s also worth mentioning that Judge has scored in 3 of the 4 games during this series and has hit safely in each of the last 2 – including a homer.
