2024 MLB MVP Best Bet: Bobby Witt Jr. (+1800)
The National League seems impossible to predict right now with the amount of talent that some teams have. I would lean towards Ronald Acuna Jr. going back-to-back, but it’s incredibly difficult for a player to accomplish that. Instead, I looked at the American League and decided on a player who has the attributes to be an MVP — average, power, durability and speed. Acuna Jr. is the definition of those four skills, but not far behind is Bobby Witt Jr. The Kansas City star hit .276 with 30 home runs and 49 stolen bases in 158 games in 2023. In his 2 career seasons, Witt Jr. has missed a total of 16 games. If he can stay healthy and continue to improve, Witt could go from a dark horse to a serious contender.

2024 Cy Young Best Bet: Pablo Lopez (+850)
Pablo Lopez flew under the radar last year even though he put together an incredible season. He finished with a 3.66 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 32 starts. That’s the second season in a row that Lopez has made 32 starts, so he has been one of the most durable pitchers in the game. Plus, he finished 2nd in the American League and 3rd in baseball in strikeouts. Oddsmakers have finally taken notice of Lopez’s talents and have tabbed him as a serious contender for the award. But unlike last year, Lopez won’t be overshadowed by the rest of the rotation since Sonny Gray and Kenta Maeda left in free agency. That leaves Lopez as the clear ace of the Twins, followed by Joe Ryan and Bailey Ober.

2024 MLB Rookie of the Year Best Bet: James Wood (+1600)
At 6’7″, James Wood is one of the most interesting prospects in baseball. Wood is ranked as the #11 prospect in the game according to Baseball America, and he was fantastic in Spring Training. Wood hit .364 with 4 home runs, 11 walks and 3 stolen bases. He can hit for average and power, but he also has an extremely good eye and elite speed. But even after his excellent Spring Training performance, Wood will begin the season in the Minors. However, that won’t be the case for long. The Nationals aren’t expected to compete for any sort of title this season which means Wood will likely be called up at some point in the first half of the season once the Nationals are firmly in last place.
