The week in Major League Baseball continues with a 10-game schedule on Thursday. Amazingly enough, only 1 of the 10 games doesn’t have an afternoon start. Even by Thursday standards, that is a whole lot of businessman’s specials. Today’s slate includes the conclusion of an intriguing series between Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay and it will wrap up at 6:10 pm ET with an American League East battle between Toronto and Boston.
Below is my mega parlay for Thursday, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.

Royals ML over Orioles (+138)
Only Oakland is worse than Kansas City in all of Major League Baseball so far this season. The Royals are 8-23, whereas the surprising Orioles are 20-10. However, there is at least some good news for the home team. It destroyed Baltimore 6-0 on Wednesday, so this afternoon’s contest marks the rubber match of the 3-game series. Although it is true that K.C. right-hander Jordan Lyles has been bad in 2023, he has been decent at home (4.26 ERA and almost a 3-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio). The Orioles are countering with Grayson Rodriguez, who is sporting a mediocre 4.07 ERA. The 23-year-old has not worked more than 5.0 innings in any of 5 starts, so the Royals will almost certainly see a good chunk of the opposition’s bullpen. Well into plus money, I’ll back Kansas City to ride the momentum of last night’s victory.
Brewers -1.5 over Rockies (+100)
The Brewers should be set up well to go into Coors Field and bash the Rockies. Wade Miley is taking the mound for Milwaukee and he is 3-1 with a 1.86 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through 5 appearances this year. The left-hander has walked only 4 batters in 29.0 innings, so he is going to make Colorado work for it. That doesn’t bode well for the Rockies, who – despite playing in thin air – have scored only 118 runs in 2023. That’s dead last in the NL West and third-to last in the entire National League. As for their pitching situation, the Rockies are going with a bullpen day that will be started by Connor Seabold. He has a 5.27 ERA through 7 games and just allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 3.1 innings of work against the Angels this past weekend. Give me the visitors to win big.

Blue Jays -1.5 over Red Sox (+110)
These 2 American League East rivals are just about even in the standings thanks to a 5-game winning streak for Boston coinciding with a 4-game skid being endured by Toronto. However, I expect there to be a big difference on the field on Thursday and will count on the Blue Jays ending their slide in emphatic fashion. Most importantly, they are calling on Kevin Gausman to toe the rubber. The veteran right-hander boasts a 2.33 ERA and has an amazing strikeout-to-walk ratio of 54-to-6 through 38.2 innings. Quite simply, Gausman has been incredible. He is opposing Boston’s Brayan Bello. The 23-year-old right-hander is 0-1 with a 6.57 ERA through 3 outings. It’s a mismatch, folks.
