Right after the Monday night game kicks off, we’ll have the Washington Nationals and Colorado Rockies getting after it on the MLB Network at 8:40pm ET. I know it’s weird to have a baseball bet going on at the same time as a football game, but it can be done. We did it yesterday and cashed the hell out of the Brewers vs Mets same game parlay. In fact, it honestly felt pretty good. As a result, I think we should do it again tonight and try with the Nationals/Rockies game. Here’s what I am on.

This feels kind of crazy but I’m not sure it is full-on crazy. First of all, Gray is a strikeout guy. He just walks a lot of people, so we don’t get to see his full display of power. He’s hit 7 Ks only 4 times this season but he’s coming off an 8-strikeout game. The Rockies are now a team we can target in the strikeout market since they’ve fanned 63 times in their last 220 at-bats. That’s 4th-most in MLB in the last week. At +310, this is a very good price for a guy like Gray against a team like this. This is a great place to start tonight.

Brendan Rodgers to record 2+ hits (+105)
Just because Gray can strike people out, it doesn’t make him Nolan Ryan. The Rockies should still hit this guy. One of the Rockies players I have my eye on is Brenden Rodgers. Even though we don’t care about batter versus pitcher, Rodgers is 2-4 against Gray lifetime. He got 2 hits off him last time these teams met 10 days ago. In his last 5 games, Rodgers has had 2+ hits in 2 of them and 4 in his last 9 games. If anyone on the Rockies can get 2+ hits tonight, it’s got to be Rodgers.
