We have entered the last full month of the 2021 MLB season. It should be a wild and entertaining run down the home stretch. Monday’s slate gives us 12 games, with a handful of those coming during the day. The San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies will square off at 4:10 EST, and it will be broadcast wide on ESPN. It only makes sense that we throw together a same game parlay for it.
I have a same game parlay which pays out just shy of 8/1 odds. Before we get to that, make sure to check out all of our MLB picks for sides and totals today. Also, you can follow me on Twitter for any added plays.
Now let’s get to the action.
Colorado Rockies -1.5 (+235)
C.J. Cron to hit a home run (+280)
Same Game Parlay odds: +777
Colorado Rockies -1.5 (+235) *alt run line
The Rockies have won each of Kyle Freeland’s last 6 starts. That includes a 4-1 win over the Giants back on August 14. Freeland tossed 6.0 innings of one-run ball in that game, and that should give him some confidence heading into this matchup. The Rockies are a tough team to beat at Coors Field. Colorado is 45-24 at home this season. Those 45 home wins are tied for the second-most in all of baseball. Kevin Gausman takes the mound for the Giants. Gausman is having a spectacular season, but don’t let that make you think the Giants will cruise here. San Francisco used 9 different relief pitchers yesterday and have 7 bullpen arms that have appeared in 2 of the last 3 days. Their bullpen could be a little spent, and facing Colorado’s offense at Coors Field is a tough challenge.

C.J. Cron to hit a home run (+280)
The second and final leg of this parlay banks on C.J.Cron hitting a home run. Cron blasted 11 home runs in the month of August. He was named the NL Player of the Month, and he picked up right where he left off with a home run on Saturday. He sees the ball well against Gausman, going 5-for-16 (.312) in his career against him. One of those 5 hits is a home run. After Gausman, Cron will take his hacks against a worn out San Francisco bullpen. It is no secret that Coors Field yields a lot of homers, and the conditions at first pitch today seem favorable for hitters. At first pitch, the temperature is forecasted to be in the low-90s with almost no humidity–perfect conditions to hit a baseball.
We hit our MLB mega parlay yesterday, so make sure you check out today’s at +1246 odds!
