New York Yankees -1.5 (+100) over Oakland A’s

To start off our mega parlay, we’re going with the Yankees on the run line. New York is fresh off a grueling series in Tampa Bay against the Rays, which included a demoralizing loss in extra innings on Sunday. However, the Yankees will now get to come back to the Bronx and play one of the worst teams in baseball. It’s a perfect bounce-back spot, which gives us a good price on the run line for a team in desperate need of a win. Cortes holds an ERA of 4.91, but his xERA sits at a much lower 3.27, which gives me optimism that he’s due for some serious regression against a weak A’s offense. Expect the Yankees lineup to give Cortes some much-needed run support en route to a comfortable victory.

Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 (+110) over Baltimore Orioles

For the second leg of our parlay, we’re going with the Tampa Bay Rays on the run line. By now you know what the Rays have been doing this season. Tampa Bay was blistering hot through the first month of the campaign, posting a 28-7 record and leading the next-best team in the American League by 5.5 games. As it so happens, that team is the Baltimore Orioles, who are playing great baseball in their own right. However, the Rays will have a distinct advantage on the mound with Shane McClanahan getting the start opposite Kyle Gibson (5.22 xERA, bottom 15% strikeout rate). Tampa Bay’s ace has yet to allow more than 2 runs in any start this season on his way to a 2.03 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 40 innings. This should be another stellar performance from the Cy Young candidate.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 (+120) over Kansas City Royals

For the final leg in this mega parlay, I’m going with the White Sox on the run line. Any time that Dylan Cease gets the start, you have to look at backing Chicago in the game. Cease is one of the best pitchers in the game and while his last pair of starts have been surprisingly poor, the White Sox ace is in good position to bounce back against a Royals offense that is 24th in on-base percentage and 29th in OPS on the season. Kansas City will counter with Zack Greinke, who is no stranger to allowing hard contact and extra-base hits. Per Baseball Savant, Greinke’s xBA, xSLG and whiff rate are in the bottom 15 percentile of all qualified pitchers, so I think this suddenly hot White Sox lineup should keep that momentum going in this one. I’m expecting a convincing victory.
