The week in Major League Baseball is wrapping up with a full 15-game slate on Sunday. It all gets started with the Minnesota Twins going up against the Baltimore Orioles in the early contest, which starts at 12:05 pm ET and can be seen on Peacock.

Twins ML (-122)
So far in this series, the Orioles’ offense has been nonexistent. They amassed a total of only 7 hits and 1 run through the first 2 games and now have to face perhaps the Twins’ best pitcher in Sonny Gray. Although Gray hasn’t been great of late, he has been stellar overall in 2023 and a date with Baltimore should be just what the doctor ordered. Meanwhile, the O’s are starting Cole Irvin – who has been back and forth between the bullpen and the rotation this season. Irvin is 1-3 with a 7.18 ERA and 1.67 WHIP this year. All signs point to Minnesota finishing off the sweep.

Sonny Gray to record 6+ strikeouts (+220)
Gray has reached the 5-strikeout mark in 3 of his last 4 starts, so asking him to reach 6 on Sunday should not be too much – especially not against a struggling Baltimore offense. If the Orioles’ bats stay quiet, Gray can work well into the game and give himself an opportunity to rack up Ks. Keep in the mind that the O’s struck out 9 times in the series opener and 8 on Saturday. It should also be noted that the right-hander has recorded at least 6 strikeouts on 7 occasions already this season, so getting this number all the way at +220 represents great value.
Byron Buxton to record an RBI (+120)
Buxton is showing signs of life with a 3-game hitting streak. This stretch includes a multi-hit performance on Friday, when the designated hitter hit a home run and finished with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. There is a good chance that Buxton will be batting with Carlos Correa on base, too. Correa finally has some momentum, as well, with a 3-game hitting streak of his own. The shortstop is 3-for-10 lifetime against Irvin with a home run and a double. All of this sets up well for Buxton to get at least 1 run across the plate this afternoon.
