The 2022 MLB season continues this week, and we have another exciting slate of games on Tuesday. One of the marquee matchups features the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers, starting at 10:10 pm ET. The Brewers took the opening game of the series, while the Dodgers are looking to bounce back.

What better way to celebrate this matchup than by betting a same game parlay? We have come up with a 3-leg parlay, which would pay out at over 6/1 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s take a look at each of the legs.

Mookie Betts to record a run (-125)

Gavin Lux to record a hit (-125)

No runs 1st inning (-130)

Parlay odds: +632

Mookie Betts to record a run (-125)

To the surprise of nobody, Mookie Betts has been extremely valuable for the Dodgers in 2022. Betts has not only delivered at the plate but in the outfield as well. And since Milwaukee is starting a right-handed pitcher, Betts should be expected to succeed at the plate. Hitting in the leadoff position makes him arguably the main catalyst for this Dodgers offense. Often batting in front of Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman and Will Smith, there’s a reason why Betts ranks 2nd in baseball in runs scored. And as he’s driven in 62 runs to this point, Betts is also scoring runs of his own creation.

With 9 runs scored in his last 10 games, Betts is consistently getting on base and putting himself in good positions for his teammates to drive him home. After the Dodgers hitters behind Betts were quiet last night, I expect a more focused effort on Tuesday. Look for the outfielder to wreak a little havoc on the basepaths and score at least 1 run in this one.

Gavin Lux to record a hit (-125)

Honing in on correlating results is usually helpful when constructing a same game parlay. In this case, I believe the Dodgers offense bouncing back will involve contributions from Gavin Lux. While he hits near the bottom of the order, Lux could be having his best season in a Dodger uniform. The infielder is hitting .297 with hits in 8 of his last 10 games, all while cutting down his strikeout rate. With 10 hits in his last 33 plate appearances, Lux has quietly been one of LA’s hottest hitters at the dish. The infielder should be expected to get 4 at-bats, giving us plenty of opportunities to cash this leg. This number suggests an implied probability of 55%, but I think that’s selling Lux short. Let’s back the 2nd basemen to extend his hitting streak to 5 games.

No runs in 1st inning (-130)

As a rule, including legs that may not correlate with each other always increases your odds in a same game parlay. However, I don’t think Betts and Lux having success conflicts with a quiet 1st inning. This NRFI boils down to our excellent starting pitching matchup. On one side, Corbin Burnes is taking the mound for the Brewers, and his numbers have been predictably strong. With a 2.48 ERA and one of the best strikeout percentages in baseball, Burnes should pitch with confidence on Tuesday. Having not allowed a first-inning run in his last 9 starts, there’s plenty of precedence that he gets the job done.

He’ll be opposed by Tony Gonsolin, who has been one of baseball’s best starters in 2022. Gonsolin currently leads the NL in ERA, while continuing to put his team in positions to win each outing. With a WOBA in the top 5 percent of baseball and good career numbers against the top of the Brewers lineup, Gonsolin should start strong at home. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we got a quick first inning from both starters in this one.
