With a statement win on Tuesday, the Astros are just a win away from going to their 7th consecutive ALCS. They are difficult to beat this time of year, but the Twins just need to win on Wednesday to get back to Houston, then anything can happen. The Twins have their work cut out for them but will push as hard as they can. Will it be enough? The Astros will have something to say about that.

Astros ML (+105)
It is just far too difficult to fade the Astros. They are on the cusp of their 7th straight ALCS appearance and that kind of sustained success is hard to bet against until they show even a little bit of vulnerability. After dropping Game 2 in Houston, the Astros came out swinging with 4 runs in the first inning as part of a 9-1 win in Game 3 on Tuesday. They needed to respond and they did it in a big way.
The Astros immediately took the wind out of the sails of a packed ballpark. This is familiar territory for this team and they are not remotely fazed. Any home-field advantage the Twins may have is neutralized by the pedigree of this Astros team. This is not as much of an indictment on the Twins as it may sound. Houston would be difficult to fade regardless of their opponent. But until they prove otherwise, they continue to be a reliable pick in the playoffs.
Over 8.5 (-110)
Despite strong pitching on both sides, run production has been more prominent than run prevention in this best-of-5 ALDS. In 3 games, there have been 28 runs scored for an average of 9.33 per game. The Astros have flexed their offensive prowess a bit more than the Twins, but Minnesota scored 12 runs in the first 2 games of this series. It is by no means out of the question that they put up enough runs to contribute to a game-total over.
Tuesday’s Game 3 was the 8th over in the Twins’ last 12 games and was also the 5th in the last 6 head-to-head meetings between these teams. Obviously, the Twins would prefer the over hit for a different reason than them being lit up. Nonetheless, the over has continued to trend for them.

Kyle Tucker 1+ RBIs (+170)
Kyle Tucker ended the regular season on a 6-game hitting streak but he has been quieter in 3 postseason games. He has a good chance to break out of it on Wednesday against Twins pitcher Joe Ryan. Ryan had an okay regular season, but struggled entering the playoffs as he has allowed 13 earned runs in his last 16 innings pitched across 3 starts. If Tucker is going to break out of a short slump, this is the game to do it.
Tucker is 0-4 in 7 plate appearances against Ryan, but has had 3 walks and just 1 strikeout. In 6 of 7 plate appearances against him, Tucker has either put the ball in play or got on base via a walk. He sees Ryan’s stuff well enough and will be in a position to produce tonight. Tucker has been batting clean-up in this series and should be again in Game 4. With Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and Yordan Alvarez in front of him, a +170 number is solid value for Tucker to drive home a run.
