The All-Star break is officially a distant memory, and we’ve got full MLB slates again. Why not celebrate by going for a big payday as we start the weekend on Friday? That’s right; we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout north of 10/1, and we’re counting on the Red Sox to crush the Rays.
We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form.
I just cashed this MLB mega parlay on Tuesday at 13/1 odds, let’s do it again on Friday!
Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (+120
Boston Red Sox ML (+120)
Miami Marlins ML (+135)
Parlay odds: +1037
Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (+120)
There’s never a bad time to fade the Pirates, right? Pittsburgh has the league’s most pitiful offense, and they haven’t been putting up much of a fight lately. They traded one of their only good hitters in Adam Frazier, and now the lineup has been even worse than usual. Over their last four games, they’ve done virtually nothing. The Phillies on the other hand are coming off a game where they scored 11 runs, and have a lot of momentum.
In fact, they won with a walk-off grand slam on Thursday, so momentum might be a bit of an understatement. Pirates starter Wil Crowe has been nothing short of a disaster, and he enters this one with a 5.89 ERA and 1.57 WHIP. Pittsburgh is 2-8 in their last 10, and I don’t see them keeping this one close.

Boston Red Sox ML (+120)
The Red Sox got shellacked on Thursday, and now is the time to buy low. It was an uncharacteristic loss, and has fluke written all over it. Boston was 7-2 in their last nine before Thursday, so I’m really not too concerned. Tampa on the other hand had lost three in a row before snapping out of it with their win over the Yankees on Thursday. The Rays will start Josh Fleming, an inexperienced young lefty who has a 4.07 ERA in 16 appearances and eight starts this year.
Asking him to face this elite Red Sox lineup is tough. Fleming got off to a hot start, but has collapsed recently. Over his last two outings, he’s given up 10 earned runs in only 8 and 1/3 innings. In two of his four June outings, he gave up five earned runs. A Red Sox offense that got shown up on Thursday will be ready to pounce. Boston will start Martin Perez, and Tampa has hit much worse against lefties this year.

Miami Marlins ML (+135)
After a brief resurgence, the Yankees appear to be slipping again. They’re 3-4 in their last seven games, and certainly aren’t anything to be afraid of. New York just got smoked 14-0 in their most recent game, and are being overpriced because of the excitement around recent trades they’ve made. They just traded for Anthony Rizzo, but he probably won’t be in the lineup here against the Marlins.
Miami has a big edge on the mound here, with Zach Thompson going up against Jameson Taillon. Thompson looks like a gem of a find for the Marlins, as the rookie has a 2.45 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through his first seven starts. Miami has been pretty bad on the road this year, but they’re actually above .500 at home. Taillon has a 6.08 ERA in eight road starts this year. Getting the Marlins as this
