It’s the end of the work week! To celebrate, there is a huge MLB slate with plenty of exciting action. The day begins in Philadelphia as the Marlins take on the Phillies, and things will end in San Francisco with a red-hot battle between the Dodgers and Giants. I’ve pieced together an MLB parlay at +1148 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook, so let’s get into it! You can also read our MLB picks for today’s big games.

Nationals ML (+132)

Washington Nationals ML over Tampa Bay Rays (+132)

I’ve become a big Mitchell Parker fan. The rookie was thrown into the deep end when he first came up since his first 2 opponents were the Dodgers and Astros. Even then, Parker exceeded expectations. He has a 3.30 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP in 13 starts and has phenomenal control as a rookie. In June, Parker has a 3.07 ERA and has limited hitters to a stunning .205 batting average. His next challenge will be taking down the Rays, but that shouldn’t be too big of an issue since Tampa Bay has been incredibly inconsistent in 2024. If Parker can limit Yandy Diaz at the top of the order, he should put himself in a good position to succeed. Therefore, it’s worth rolling with the Nationals at plus-money odds as part of our MLB parlay picks.

Houston Astros -1.5 over New York Mets (+136)

Two of the hottest teams in baseball will go at it tonight in Queens. The Astros have turned their season around this month as they’ve won 7 straight games and are 1 win away from having a winning record. As for the Mets, they’ve won 11 of their last 13 games as the offense has taken off in the last 2 weeks. Both lineups are hitting the ball well, so it should be the pitching that decides this game, and that’s where the Astros have the advantage. Ronel Blanco will start for the Astros, and he’s had quite the season. The right-hander threw a no-hitter in his first start of the season and then was suspended a few weeks later for sticky stuff. But lately, Blanco has been phenomenal. He’s allowed just 2 runs and 7 hits along with 20 strikeouts in his last 20 innings. Back the better pitcher and take the Astros to extend their winning streak in our MLB parlay.

Boston Red Sox -1.5 over San Diego Padres (+128)

Both the Red Sox and Padres are in a fight for the Wild Card. For Boston, not many people expected them to be in this position. They’ve been without Trevor Story, Triston Casas, Garrett Whitlock and Vaughn Grissom for a while now and they’ve still stayed competitive. But it’s been even better than competitive — Boston has won 10 of their last 13 games. Tonight, the Red Sox face Randy Vasquez, who has statistically been one of the worst pitchers in all of baseball. The right-hander ranks in the 1st percentile in xERA and xBA after 10 starts. In just this month, Vasquez has a 4.50 ERA and 1.62 WHIP and is allowing a .330 batting average and .347 xBA. There’s a huge pitching advantage in this game, so back the Sox for a big win to round out our MLB parlay.
