Postseason baseball is just around the corner and the Wild Card races are heating up. It’s a very important weekend with multiple series that have postseason implications, and I found 3 picks that combine to make an 11/1 MLB parlay from FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s dive in, while you can also see our MLB picks for today.

Orioles -1.5 (+116)

Royals -1.5 (+126)

Guardians -1.5 (+146)

MLB parlay odds: +1100

Baltimore Orioles -1.5 over Detroit Tigers (+116)

Anthony Santander’s walk-off home run snapped Baltimore’s losing streak and gave the club a much-needed win. After a dominant first half of the season, the O’s have struggled to be a .500 team since the break and have been one of the worst teams in baseball in September. It’s a bad time for an entire lineup to go cold since the postseason is just 2 weeks away. However, tonight’s game gives the team an opportunity to create a winning streak and get revenge on a pitcher who just shut them out last week. Keider Montero has had an up-and-down rookie season but has pitched much better in the last 2 months. His most recent start came against the O’s, and he did not allow a run while surrendering just 5 hits with 1 strikeout. Considering he still owns a .282 xBA on the year, I’m expecting Corbin Burnes and company to build off yesterday’s win in a big way.

Kansas City Royals -1.5 over San Francisco Giants (+126)

The Giants have officially been eliminated from postseason contention while the Royals are right in the middle of an extremely crowded Wild Card race. With just over a week left, the Twins are slumping at the wrong time and are in danger of missing the postseason all together. A big reason for that is Detroit’s hot streak which has placed them just 2 games back of the Royals for the 2nd Wild Card spot. That makes it very important for the Royals to close out the season beating up on eliminated teams — like the Giants. San Francisco will be throwing their #8 prospect Mason Black, who has had a tough start to his rookie year. He owns a 7.07 ERA and 6.71 xERA in 7 outings and has allowed a ridiculous .299 xBA with a .550 xSLG. Black has allowed at least 1 home run in every outing and is also prone to walking multiple hitters if his offspeed pitches aren’t working. I like Kansas City’s chances of a multi-run win against the struggling Black.

Cleveland Guardians -1.5 over St. Louis Cardinals (+146)

The Cleveland Guardians clinched the AL Central this week and have just a few games left to rack up the wins before the postseason. Their weekend series will take them to St. Louis to face the Cardinals, who had yet another disappointing season. St. Louis fell out of the division title hunt pretty early on and never seemed to get any momentum going for a Wild Card spot either. Their pitching was below average and their lineup was full of underachievers from Opening Day to now. On Friday night, they will have to face Ben Lively, a pitcher who aims for weak contact and gets plenty of it. He looked great in his last outing against the Rays as he threw 5 scoreless innings and surrendered just 4 hits. And the best part for Lively is that he’s backed by the best bullpen in baseball with a closer that should be in the Cy Young discussion. As long as the Guardians can get a few against the veteran Kyle Gibson, Cleveland should be able to win by at least 2 runs.
