The Guardians and Twins are meeting up this weekend for their most important series to date. Along with the White Sox, they’re all within just a couple of games of each other for supremacy of the AL Central. It was the Twins leading the division much of the season before the Guardians took the top spot. They’ve met 11 times so far this year, with a close 6-5 record in Cleveland’s favor. They’re going to be facing off again in just a week’s time, but let’s first break down the opener for this series. Along with this same game parlay, be sure to check out our MLB picks for all of today’s games.

Let’s take a closer look at each leg of our same game parlay.
Jose Ramirez 2+ total bases (+115)
Despite being divisional rivals, these teams haven’t played each other in more than 2 months. The first 6 meetings were in Minnesota, while the last 5 were in Cleveland. They’re 3-3 against one another in those Twins’ home games, which is just another reason we’re going to focus on player props rather than a side for this matchup. It’s clear just how even these teams are, and both have their shortcomings. The Guardians didn’t add to their roster at all at the trade deadline, and the Twins have had injuries to guys such as Byron Buxton throughout the year. Both Cal Quantrill and Dylan Bundy were also on the mound against one another the last time these teams met. Ironically enough, that was a close 1-run game. Therefore, let’s target our specific players rather than the side.
We’re going to transition right into what would be the most obvious play in terms of this prop. Cleveland’s Jose Ramirez has been an absolute stud this year. After signing him to a 5-year extension to begin the season, he’s lived up to it. He even turned down more money elsewhere to stay with the Guardians. They should be thankful he did, as his 264 total bases are the 2nd-most in the AL.
His 39 doubles are the most in the AL, and he has 26 homers to boot. He may be a bigger guy, but he even has 4 triples on the year. Ramirez also hit this prop in 2 of the first 3 games the last time these teams played. He also cashed it in the opener of the last series in Minnesota. He’s hit just 1 double against Bundy so far, but he should be trusted to continue his incredible season against him tonight.

Carlos Correa 2+ total bases (+130)
Using players from opposing teams is a great way to boost our odds without contradicting our entire same game parlay. Remember, we’re not predicting a side and are only rooting for runs. World Series champion Carlos Correa should do his part in that. We used this prop for him during the Yankees series, but the game was postponed. All he did in the rescheduled game was hit a double and home run in his first 2 at-bats.
His 189 total bases are behind only Luis Arraez on the team, but he’s accumulated them in 10 fewer games. Correa has also had success against the Guardians this season. He had a home run in back-to-back games in their most recent series, and had one last night. Better, yet he hit this prop in all 3 games the last time they played in Minnesota. That included an 8-total base game, and we need only 2 to cash this prop
