It’s only fitting for the long day of MLB action to be capped off with the biggest rivalry. This will be the finale of a long 4-game series and the last meeting of the season. Despite the difference in records, these teams will always have hard-fought games. This series has been no exception. The first two games of the series finished 5-4, and yesterday afternoon was a back-and-forth 7-5 game. With all eyes on this featured matchup, expect another thriller tonight. Rafael Devers 2+ total bases (+115)
Because these teams play each other in such tight games, we’re not going to go with a side prediction. Despite the Yankees being decently heavy favorites, the Red Sox have shown they can keep up with the Bronx Bombers. Therefore, we’re going to target player props instead. Even with Boston having an overall disappointing season, they still have some of the best bats in baseball.
One of them is Rafael Devers. He’s often the first Sox hitter fans think of when it comes to their lineup. He has come through for us in the past, although he didn’t earlier in this series. However, he should have a bounce-back night on national TV. His 274 total bases are still the 7th-most in the AL, and his 39 doubles are the 3rd-most in the AL. Even his 152 hits are within the top 10. That demonstrates he has the ability to cash this prop with multiple hits or just a single swing. Devers will be facing Yankees starter Nestor Cortes tonight, which also supports this prop. He has a double and 2 home runs against the lefty for a .909 slugging percentage. With all eyes on this matchup, expect the all-star 3rd baseman to come through.

Giancarlo Stanton 2+ total bases (+150)
It would almost be disrespectful not to mention the biggest storyline in ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball matchup. Aaron Judge is still looking for his 61st home run to tie the AL record. It’s been 4 games since he hit his 60th, and there are solid reasons why we’re not targeting him for this same game parlay. None of these Sox starters want to give up that record-breaking home run, therefore they are pitching around him. Judge has now walked 4 times in this series alone. We’re targeting Giancarlo Stanton because he possesses just as much power as Judge while getting more opportunities at the plate.
Boston’s rookie starter Brayan Bello has hands full, and will be much more concerned about Judge. Let’s not forget that Stanton had just 4 fewer home runs than Judge last season in 9 fewer games. He’s also had success against their rival this season. Stanton is hitting just a touch under .300 and has a .611 slugging percentage against Boston this season. Even if he doesn’t hit this prop against Bello, the Sox have the 6th-worst bullpen in the league. With this being the 4th game of the series, that could play a major factor. Consider playing a Judge home-run prop as a single play, but stick with the safer plays when pairing them with another.
