The 2024 NFL Draft takes place tonight, which means it’s time to get serious about projecting the future destinations of the best players in college football.
Much like a few other quarterbacks in this class, Michael Penix Jr. has inspired a myriad of differing opinions across the league following his senior season at Washington. One thing is nearly certain, however, and that is that a team is going to take a chance on the Washington quarterback. It’s just a matter of when he gets drafted, and to whom.
Penix’s stock has massively fluctuated throughout the draft process, with his position alternating wildly in many mock drafts. But where do we see Penix ending up? Let’s break down the betting options for Penix at the NFL Draft.

Michael Penix Jr. NFL Draft best bets
Michael Penix Jr. to be drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders (+260)
At this stage in the NFL Draft process, there’s a lot of smoke surrounding the different quarterbacks and where they’ll be selected in the first couple of rounds. In the case of Penix Jr, I’m anticipating that he ends up with the Las Vegas Raiders, so it’s hard to ignore the price that we’re getting on this bet. The fact of the matter is there are going to be at least 4 or 5 quarterbacks taken off the board early, so that’s going to create a sense of desperation for some franchises that are in need of a QB to potentially shake up their offense. In steps the Las Vegas Raiders, who are only carrying Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell and Anthony Brown on their QB depth chart heading into the upcoming season. In a division with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, it wouldn’t shock me at all if Las Vegas took a shot on a player with high upside in Penix to try and make up some ground in the AFC West.
