The AFC East is expected to be a beast in 2023 as the Bills, Jets and Patriots are all projected to be above-average teams. However, Miami’s 2023 schedule is looking like a gauntlet. But perhaps the biggest question of all is: can Tua stay healthy? Well, I’m here to answer some of those questions and give my projections for the Fins in 2023. Let’s take a look at some of the Super Bowl odds and best bets to be made on the Miami Dolphins in 2023.

Miami Dolphins 2022 season recap
The Dolphins showed a lot of promise with the trio of Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Unfortunately for Miami, they could never keep the trio healthy, especially Tua. The lefty quarterback dealt with several head injuries that led to some believing that Tagovailoa should hang up the cleats for good, but he’s already back on the field looking to lead the Fins once again. Miami showed that there is so much potential for this team if everyone can stay healthy, and that will be the golden question heading into the 2023 season.

Miami Dolphins 2023 NFL season predictions
The Dolphins made a huge splash by trading for Jalen Ramsey to give their already-stout defense a boost. However, they will have to wait a few weeks before they can see their new investment on the field since Ramsey is recovering from a knee surgery. In other news, Tua looks like he bulked the entire offseason as the southpaw slinger looks much bigger and stronger than he did last year. The key to Miami’s season is keeping Tua healthy, because as we saw in the Wild Card round, the Dolphins need Tua.
Here are a couple of my Miami Dolphins-related predictions for the upcoming season.
Best bet: Miami Dolphins Under 9.5 Wins (-120)
I don’t know who the Dolphins pissed off in the NFL scheduling department, but Miami’s 2023 schedule is brutal. Before they can get to their bye in Week 10, they need to play the Chargers, Bills, Eagles, Chiefs and Patriots twice which is not an easy stretch by any means. The middle of their schedule gets a little bit easier, but not by much. They still have to play the Raiders, Jets and Titans before they get to the final stretch of their season which will be a true test of their team. To wrap up Miami’s season, they play the Cowboys, Ravens and Bills. Those could easily be 3 losses if Miami isn’t careful, so between the difficult start and finish to their season, I don’t see a way in which they finish the season with double-digit wins.
Miami Dolphins season record prediction: 9-8
Heading into their Week 10 bye, I predict that the Dolphins will have a 4-5 record. That will make it very hard for them to finish with 10 wins since their second half is not much easier than the first. The Fins are also unlucky to play in the AFC East which is going to be one of the most competitive divisions this season since the Bills are expected to be a Super Bowl contender once again, the Jets brought in Aaron Rodgers and the Patriots still have an elite defense. It’s also too optimistic to think that Tua will be healthy for all 17 games with his injury history, so a 9-8 season is where I envision the Dolphins ending.
