The Dallas Mavericks avoided a clean sweep in Game 4, bringing the series back to Boston. While the Celtics might appreciate the chance to secure the title in front of their home fans, they know they cannot afford to lose. The Mavericks are playing with house money here. But with every win, the pressure could increase drastically on the Celtics. People still don’t forget the Golden State Warriors dropping a 3-1 lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, so imagine what would happen if the Celtics become the first team to waste a 3-0 lead on the biggest stage of all. They will look to put that threat to bed in Game 5. Let’s dive into my Mavericks vs Celtics Same Game Parlay picks at +448 odds for this huge matchup, while you can also check out our NBA picks on the side and total for every game of the 2024 NBA Finals.

Dallas Mavericks +6.5 over Boston Celtics (-108)
The Mavericks were dominant in Game 4 and never looked to be troubled by the Celtics. It could signal a real shift in momentum in the series. The Mavericks were able to dominate the battle in the paint, outscoring their opponents 60-26. With Kristaps Porzingis continuing to deal with an injury, the Celtics could have real issues turning that around, even if the Latvian plays hobbled.
The visitors here will be helped by the fact that they have continued to cause issues for Jayson Tatum — even in his 31-point performance in Game 3, he shot only 42.3% from the field and 30.8% from beyond the arc. If the Celtics superstar continues to fail to perform efficiently, the visitors will have a great chance to stay competitive here. Coming into the game after breaking the 100-point mark for the first time in the series will be a source of confidence for them too.

Kyrie Irving 25+ points (-105)
Having the series go back to Dallas has really helped rejuvenate Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks guard dropped 35 in Game 3 and followed it with an efficient 21 in reduced minutes in Game 4. Now going back to Boston, he should be able to maintain that level of play. He has had issues making shots from deep in the series, making just 25% of his attempts. He would however really benefit from Porzingis either not taking to the floor again or playing injured. He knocked down 9 of 12 shots from inside the arc in Game 4 and similar efficiency here should help him hit this line. His usage rate had gone from 24.2% during these playoffs to 29.7% over the last 2 contests. Look for Irving to be central to the Mavericks’ offense, especially with the team on the brink of elimination. I expect him to have a strong scoring night so let’s add him to our Mavericks vs Celtics Same Game Parlay picks.
Luka Doncic 2+ steals (-105)
Luka Doncic has been stuffing the stat sheet with steals so far in the NBA Finals. He is averaging 2.5 per game and has hit the over on this line in 3 of the 4 games so far. He has a good combination of attributes that should allow him to keep this up tonight. The Slovenian has great size and length for a point guard, which allows him to impact entry passes to the post. There is no denying his basketball IQ too, and after 4 games in the series, he should be well-positioned to read and react to the Celtics’ plays. He also isn’t the strongest defender when it comes to staying in front of his man which tends to lead to him trying to cheat on plays. That can come in the form of reaching or trying to jump passing lanes. While it might not be the best form of defense, when it works, it should lead to steals. I’m backing him to pick off at least a couple more tonight to wrap up our Mavericks vs Celtics Same Game Parlay.
