College basketball pick today: UMass Lowell River Hawks vs Vermont Catamounts – Over 140.5 points (-110), 11:00 am ET
The River Hawks of UMass Lowell are headed north into the Green Mountains in search of the school’s first-ever NCAA Tournament at the Division I level. Head coach Pat Duquette saw his River Hawks split with the Catamounts of Vermont during the regular season. Lowell protected its home floor on January 11, winning 80-65 as a 1-point favorite as the Over cashed. In the rematch in Burlington, however, it was all Catamounts. Vermont raced to a 93-81 win as a 5.5-point favorite, again as the Over cashed. In fact, the Over is on a 5-2 run for the River Hawks, and this team has produced 75 or more points on offense in seven consecutive outings. Because both these teams have been producing high scoring game all season, backing the Over will be the play.

NHL pick today: Boston Bruins -1.5 over Detroit Red Wings (-135), 1:00 pm ET
The Boston Bruins have been dominating the NHL also season and a poor Detroit Red Wings team is unlikely to slow them down this afternoon. The Bruins beat the Red Wings 5-1 in their only meeting back in October, and because they are at home for this game backing a similar result looks to be worth a play.

MLB spring training pick today: Boston Red Sox ML over Minnesota Twins (+105), 1:05 pm ET
The Boston Red Sox come into this Spring Training game against the Minnesota with a record of 9-1 (also with 4 ties). Their lone loss came yesterday against the Toronto Blue Jays, a game where they were shutout 2-0. The Red Sox are averaging 6.8 runs per game in Spring Training and have also already beat the Twins. Because of the success Boston is having so far, backing them to win will be the play.
NBA pick today: Boston Celtics -5 over Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 pm ET
The Boston Celtics had been leading the Eastern Conference all season, but find themselves 2.5 games back of the Milwaukee Bucks as they hit the road to take on the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta has been the definition of mediocre this season and cannot seem to stay above .500. The Celtics beat the Hawks 126-101 in their one an only meeting, and the Celtics are 20-12 on the road this season. With Jason Tatum leading the way, going with the Celtics to beat the Hawks tonight also looks to be worth a play.
