The Florida Gators and the Maryland Terrapins will clash in the Sweet 16 after a couple of close calls in the Round of 32. UConn had Florida on the ropes for most of the second half, but the Huskies were unable to stop Walter Clayton from taking matters into his own hands. Later on Sunday, Maryland needed a controversial last-second buzzer-beater from Derik Queen to survive Cinderella-hopeful Colorado State – who took a 1-point lead on a Jalen Lake three-pointer with 6 seconds left. With a trip to the Elite 8 on the line, this matchup between 2 of the 10 best teams in the country is must-see TV on TBS on Thursday night, and a perfect candidate for a Maryland vs Florida Same Game Parlay.

Here are my favorite parlay picks for the Sweet 16 matchup, while you can also find out our March Madness predictions for EVERY NCAA Tournament game.

Alijah Martin (UF) 15+ points (+125)

All of Maryland’s attention defensively is going to revolve around Walter Clayton on the perimeter, but Alijah Martin is a key cog in this Florida offense, too. Martin has put up at least 10 shots in 3 straight games, and usually that includes at least 4-of-5 perimeter shots – where he makes 35% of his attempts. Martin has Final Four experience as a former member of Dusty May’s Florida Atlantic squad, so I expect him to be assertive against a Maryland backcourt that hasn’t been on this stage before.

Alex Condon (UF) 7+ rebounds (-220)

Alex Condon should play a full allotment of minutes in this matchup, as he is more disciplined defensively than Rueben Chinyelu – who averages 6 fouls per 40 minutes. Condon has length and range in the interior that makes him an excellent rebounder and shot-disrupter, which will come in handy against Maryland’s talented frontcourt of Julian Reese and Queen. Condon is especially good at attacking the offensive glass, boasting a top-85 mark out of 2,300+ eligible Division 1 players, and he has pulled in at least 7 rebounds in 6 of Florida’s 8 games in March.

Florida Gators ML over Maryland Terrapins (-220)

Florida can win games in a multitude of ways, but Maryland relies on its production in the mid-range and the post – where Florida excels defensively. The Gators have the requisite size and depth in the front court to limit the scoring of Reese and Queen, which is going to put a strong emphasis on backcourt production – where the Gators have a decent advantage. Florida’s offense is led by 3 senior guards in Clayton, Martin and Will Richard, all of whom have NCAA Tournament experience. Meanwhile, Maryland’s backcourt, while talented, doesn’t have any NCAA Tournament experience. In a high-pressure college basketball game, I want the team with the more experienced backcourt.

For what it’s worth, teams who win on a buzzer-beater in the NCAA Tournament do not fare well in their following games. In fact, just 2 of the previous 9 teams that won at the buzzer also won their next NCAA Tournament game. This does not bode well for Maryland.
