We are wrapping up Week 15 of the 2022 NFL season with Monday Night Football between the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers. It should be an appropriate December game in the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field, as temperatures will be below freezing and snow is projected to fall either during the game or right after it.

Packers -9.5 alternate spread over Rams (+124)
The Packers kept their postseason hopes alive with a 28-19 victory over the Bears in Week 13, so they head into Monday night on more than 2 weeks of rest, which should be an advantage. All of that time to prepare should help their offense get right and there is no reason why Aaron Rodgers and company shouldn’t be able to move the ball against a vulnerable Rams secondary. Los Angeles allows just 101.9 rushing yards per game (5th in the NFL) but surrenders 228.6 through the air (21st).
Although Rodgers hasn’t looked like his typical self, the veteran QB should be able to perform better off the bye. He recently said that his thumb and ribs were feeling much better. The weather will be right up the Packers’ ally, too, whereas the Rams don’t like this kind of stuff. L.A. won via a miracle in Baker Mayfield’s team debut last week, but I doubt lightning strikes twice.

Christian Watson over 46.5 receiving yards (-114)
Watson should be in line for another big day considering both the matchup and his current form. The Rams’ passing defense is nothing special and Aaron Donald is out, so they will probably struggle to put pressure on Rodgers. That will open the door for Watson, who has produced at least 48 yards in 4 consecutive contests. This stretch includes performances of 107 and 100 yards. The rookie out of North Dakota State should soar past a modest 46.5 number.

Watson has also been Rodgers’ favorite red-zone target of late. He has scored in 4 straight games, with a total of 7 TDs in those 4. The Rams rank 4th in the NFL in rushing defense but are in the middle of the pack against the pass, and they have surrendered a relatively low 10 touchdowns on the ground but 18 through the air. This is a good opportunity for Watson to continue his scoring streak.
