Luka Doncic to record 10+ assists (+144)
Luka and the rest of the Lakers were a massive disappointment in their loss to Brooklyn on Monday, but despite the poor shooting night, Doncic was still able to get 12 assists out of that game. He’s been distributing the ball at a high clip over his last 4 games, dishing out double-digit dimes in 3 of those. That’s increased his average to 9.1 per game in his last 8 with the Lakers, giving me added confidence that he will do a good job getting his teammates involved here. He has to, otherwise the Lakers could be in for a long night.
LA is currently down a few very important players, including LeBron James, who is responsible for quite a lot of ball handling and playmaking on offense. Without him, the keys to the offense are solely in Luka’s hands here, so let’s hope he can make the most out of it. Damian Lillard is no match for him defensively, as the last 8 meetings show an average of 32.3 points along with 12.4 assists per game for Doncic.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 12+ rebounds (-174)
Although he had a relatively efficient night against the Pacers, Giannis and the Bucks still came up short to lose their 3rd game in a row. The Greek Freak will be kicking himself after he fouled Tyrese Haliburton on a three-point attempt that went in with just seconds remaining. It’s not often we see Antetokounmpo let down his teammates, but with that being the case, I feel like a bounce-back performance is on the cards here as he looks to make amends.
In the loss to Indy, Giannis grabbed 17 rebounds, 15 of them on the defensive end. Injuries have hampered the Lakers’ front line and over their last 3 games we’ve seen them give up 55.3 rebounds per game, which is a significant increase compared to their season average of 51.4. Losing Jaxson Hayes to injury means that Alex Len is the main rim protector and rebounder for the Lakers here, and he just isn’t mobile enough to handle a player like Giannis down low. In 10 head-to-head meetings, Giannis is averaging 11.9 rebounds per game, and the last time they played, he finished with 21 boards.

Jarred Vanderbilt to record 6+ rebounds (-210)
We touched on the Lakers’ rebounding issues earlier but Jarred Vanderbilt is one player on the roster that has been a net positive when it comes to grabbing loose basketballs. With his 6’8″ frame, he is one of the bigger players that the Lakers currently have at their disposal, and they’ll likely rely on him a lot more than they normally do. We’ve seen his minutes go up from 15.3 per game in February to 23 per game in March. Against the Nets and Celtics, he logged 27 and 29 minutes to start this road trip and I expect that to go up to 30+ in tonight’s game with all the injuries.
Vanderbilt has cleared this line 4 times in 5 games while averaging 7.2 rebounds per game. Milwaukee isn’t exactly the best defensive rebounding team in the NBA, as they rank 28th in that department while allowing 34.6 rebounds per game. Just based on injuries alone, I feel like Vanderbilt is in for a productive night here.
