KBO picks and predictions
Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
LG Twins Money Line (-110)
Coming off a 13-5 win, we are going back to the LG Twins to take game two of the series with the SK Wyverns. The Twins are expected to start Jae-heon Sung, who is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.45. To be fair, Sung has just 3.2 innings of work on the entire season, and has allowed one run. This will be his first start of the year and he will be looking to break into the rotation as we come down the stretch.
This is more of a fade of the SK Wyverns pitcher, who is Seung-won Moon. He is 4-7 on the year with a decent ERA of 3.95. Though he has been struggling as of late, allowing 17 runs over his last 27.2 innings pitched (five starts). Although the Twins’ starter has very limited work, I do believe that the Twins will be able to provide ample run support behind him just like on Tuesday, so I will back the Twins to win this game.
NC Dinos/Kiwoom Heroes Under 11.5 Runs (-122)
The NC Dinos are expected to start Myung-gi Song in this spot, who is 2-0 on the season with an ERA of 3.62. He mainly comes out of the bullpen, having made only two starts this season. In those two starts, he is 1-0, having allowed three runs over 10.2 innings. That translates to an ERA of 2.53.
Kiwoom will be countering with Young-gun Jo, who is 1-1 with an ERA of 6.58. He struggled as a starter near the beginning of the season, but since being taken out of the starting rotation, Young-gun Jo has allowed just two runs over 7.0 innings as a reliever.
Both teams are allowing less than 5.0 runs per game in each of their last five games, so I am expecting at least one of these offenses to struggle enough for the total to stay under again.
Lotte Giants/KT Wiz Over 9.5 Runs (-130)
Looking to fade two inconsistent pitchers here as the Lotte Giants continue their series with KT Wiz on Wednesday morning. Kyung-eun Noh is expected to get the start for the Giants, who is 4-5 with an ERA of 4.88. He continues to be inconsistent, having allowing nine runs over his last 16.1 innings, or his last three starts. During this stretch, he is also 0-2.
On the other side will be Min-soo Kim. He does not give me anymore confidence, seeing that he is 2-6 with a 5.85 ERA. His last three starts have seen him go 0-2 with an ERA of 5.79, allowing nine runs over his last 14.0 innings. He has 5.0 innings of work against Lotte this season, but still allowed five runs. The over is 4-1 in both teams last five games, so I will back another high scoring affair.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +514.
