KBO picks and predictions

Tuesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

SK Wyverns/NC Dinos Under 9.5 Runs (-106)

We have an extremely lopsided pitching match-up as well, seeing that the NC Dinos will start Drew Rucinski and the Wyverns will start Seung-won Moon. Rucinski is 16-3 on the season with an ERA of 3.14. He is clearly one of the better pitchers in the entire league an easily the best pitcher in the Dinos’ rotation. Rucinski has allowed 10 runs over his last five starts over a span of 31.2 innings. Rucinski has been just as dominant against the Wyverns, allowing four runs over 26.0 innings. He is 4-0 against them and has an ERA of 1.38.

Now Moon has not been the worst pitcher, and will hope to give his team a fighting chance. Moon is 5-8 on the season with an ERA of 3.97. His last five starts have also been solid, allowing 12 runs over his last 29.0 innings. Moon has four starts against the Dinos, allowing five runs over 24.0 innings. That gives him an ERA of 1.88 against the best team.

Kia Tigers/Kiwoom Heroes Over 9.5 Runs (-108)

I will be looking to fade struggling pitchers here and will be looking for the offenses to get going early an all throughout this game. The Tigers will start Ki-young Im, who is 7-9 with an ERA of 5.34. He has allowed 20 runs over his last 25.1 innings. Im has been terrible agains the Heroes as well, allowing 11 runs over 7.1 innings. That gives him an ERA of 13.50 against them.

The Heroes will start Jake Brigham, who is 8-3 with an ERA of 3.64. He his clearly the better pitcher here, but has still allowed 12 runs over his last 29.1 innings. That is still not terrible, but he certainly could give up at least a few runs here to help with an over.

KT Wiz/Samsung Lions Under 11.5 (-134)

We will be focusing on the KT Wiz pitcher here as William Cuevas will make the start. He is 9-6 with an ERA of 3.96. He does have two starts against the Lions, having allowed two runs over 12.0 innings. That gives him an ERA of 1.50 against Samsung. Cuevas has allowed three runs or less in four of his last five starts. Besides one recent start where he allowed eight runs, Cuevas usually is lights out.

Samsung will start Seung-min Lee, who has an ERA of 11.81 over four starts. This is concerning when talking about an under, but Lee has allowed 2-5 runs per start, so the under still looks good here. At least with Cuevas, we know he will likely go deep into this game, which in turn will limit the runs scored.
