KBO picks and predictions
Thursday’s three-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
KT Wiz/Hanwha Eagles Over 8.5 Runs (-110)
Looking to fade two below average pitchers as we will be looking for a ton of runs. Dong-wook Oh will start for the Hanwha Eagles, who has an ERA of 14.29. He has yet to make a start this season, allowing nine runs over 5.2 innings.
The KT Wiz will start Hyeong-jun So, who is 12-6 with an ERA of 4.04. He has an ERA of 9.42 against the Eagles over two starts. He has allowed seven runs over 9.0 innings against them. The over is 3-1 in the last four games for the KT Wiz and 4-1 in the last five games for the Hanwha Eagles.
Lotte Giants +2.5 Run Line (-106)
The Dinos will start Drew Rucinski, who is 18-5 on the year and has an ERA of 3.13. He has been on par with that with his last five starts, allowing 10 runs over 29.0 innings. This gives him an ERA of 3.10 during this stretch.
The Giants will counter with Seung-heon Lee, who is 3-1 with an ERA of 3.86. He has also fared well over his last five starts, allowing nine runs over his last 28.0 innings. That gives him an ERA of 2.89 during these starts.
Doosan Bears Money Line (+114)
We will be looking to back the Bears here as they look to improve their playoff seeding. The Kia Tigers on the other hand, have been eliminated from the postseason, so this game has no meaning. The Bears will start Hui-kwan Yu here, who is 9-11 with a 5.14 ERA. He has allowed 12 runs over his last 21.0 innings. Against the Tigers, he has an ERA of 2.74.
The Tigers will start Hyun-jong Yang, who is 11-9 with an ERA of 4.53. Over his last five starts, he has allowed 16 runs over his last 29.2 innings. Against the Bears, he has an ERA of 6.19. The Bears are 12-3 against Kia this season, so I will look for them to win here as well.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +693.
